I've been lurking for a few weeks. Just wanted to say hi.
I'm a mom of a son who recovered from autism (mercury poisoning). One day while I was pregnant with him and enjoying my favorite praline pecan ice cream cone, I broke a tooth when I bit down on a pecan. The tooth crumbled apart. It had contained a rather large amalgam filling that I had had since I was about 12 yrs old. My dentist decided to leave it alone until the baby was born. I gave birth to a healthy 10 lb baby boy, then a few months later had the remainder of the tooth extracted.
Like any mother does, I took my baby on time for all his routine vaccinations. After his vaccines at 15 months he got very sick. Within 24 hours he broke out into a terrible rash was screaming uncontrollably and began having explosive bowel movements. I took him to the doctor and they prescribed prednisone. This didn't seem to help and he only got worse and we noticed that he stopped saying alot of the things he used to say and didn't seem to notice anything that was going on around him. The doctors told us he had autism. I really couldnt' believe it because prior to this he was fine, he was a very bright baby, so alert and so social, he loved people and it was like a light switch had went off an he was gone. I questioned the vaccines but was told that there could be no reason for the vaccines to cause his symptoms. I went on to find out that there was mercury in the shots and calcuated that he his vaccines had given him a cumulative dose of mecury 273 times what the epa deems safe.
I then investigated ways to help heal his physical symptoms, because as ridiculous as it sounded whenever his rashes would calm down, it's like he'd start coming back to us. Since the docs treated me like I was crazy, I knew I was on my own.
We changed his diet, added supplements and did behavior therapy. And eventually he did come back to us for good! He will be 10 years old in a few weeks and this year he lost his autism diagnosis. He will be attending a regular school with his brother next year with minimal support.
I believe that the vaccines as well as my amalgams contributed to his autism like symptoms. But of course my doctors think I'm nuts. In fact he and I have been in a bitter battle through our local news paper in recent days, writing letters to the editor.
But enough of that.
Now that I've healed my son, I need to heal myself. I have been suffering with chronic fatigue for years, and my heart rate is so high that when I went for a stress test they wouldnt' let me on the treadmill. I am about 30 pounds overweight but nothing that should cause me to not be able to walk on a treadmill! I have joint pain and brain fog... boy do I have brain fog!!!
I'd been wanting to have my amalgams removed but had been putting it off. Then about two weeks ago another one broke (this was the third one to break). So I immediately called the IOAMT dentist that I had found online and made my appointment. We hit it off very well! He removed one filling already and I go back next week for a complete exam and we will discuss dealing with the remaining fillings.
I was wondering if it is possible to feel some "relief" after having just one removed. Because I have noticed differences in my alertness and even joint pain. Or is this probably just in my head. I have 9 fillings.
I'm happy to have found you all!
