I didn't write the post you are refering to, but I think it meant that chlorella has the possibility to contain mercury, not that it definitely does. For example, if it is not grown organically and has metal-containing pesticides dumped on it, or if it's grown in a contaminated part of the ocean. So it's possible for it to.
You are right that NDF contains both chlorella and cilantro. I think the author was trying to say that NDF is known NOT to contain mercury, even though some forms of chlorella can. I think they have done testing to ensure it is metal-free, so the chlorella and cilantro that they use are uncontaminated.
A bottle of NDF is expensive, but since you use such small amounts, it is supposed to last a long time, and therefore, it's not expensive after all. This is a different form of chlorella than you will find in most other chlorella brands, so it is supposed to work differently. I've read (on Mercola's website) that 30% of the population cannot tolerate chlorella - it tends to make them nauseous, etc. So while you might have a different reaction to NDF than with SunChlorella due to the different form used, there is a possibility that you would not react well to any chlorella at all.
I'm still interested in doing DMSA, especially after hearing all this good feedback on it. But I won't be ready for chelation for a couple more months, so it gives me time to figure out what to try. We'll see what my doctor has to say, because I know he tends to use DMSA, but is starting to use NDF as well.
