I am talking about the sarcasm and contempt from you towards Christianity and Christians on here
Please tell me where I am being sarcastic and contemptuous toward all Christians and Christianity. My main goal here lately has been to try to emphasise the importance of backing up claims with evidence. If you see my questioning of the scientific accuracy of creationist claims as blatant attacks on Christianity then I guess I can't help you there, it's your perspective, but I can't follow the logic.
Yes, we've heard the evidence statements time and time again, and apparently you guys have " Truck loads". Is this the way evolutionists work to convince? Rather than just letting the apparent evidence speak for itself and silence all arguments. Keep repeating this over again, and hopefully one will believe it through sheer repetition.
Can I ask how likely you or any other creationists here are to actually look at the evidence in the first place, as opposed to accepting what creationist organisations tell you? How can the evidence speak for itself if it is never presented? There have been many posts here that have contained inaccuracies and without any evolutionists here they never would have been pointed out. Are you telling me that you prefer not to know? That it's better to be ignorant of the facts? Again, it's your perspective maybe, but I can't follow the logic.
I'm also not trying to silence anyone. I really would like some better conversations to be going on here, but this requires engaging with the issues. There isn't a lot of that at the moment. I don't want silence, I want to talk, and I think that if this forum is going to be for evolutionists as well as creationists, then at least one evolutionist needs to be here to represent that perspective. Again, if people here including Russ don't want to listen to it, then he can turn it into Creationists' Corner if he wants. Denying the evidence doesn't make it go away but that would assure that it was kept at arm's length from you at least.
I've witnessed what he's done on here, I simply see that he has a far greater understanding of the way evolutionists behave and work than I do and seems fluent in evolutionese, which some of us may not be.
You mean he's better at throwing terms such as "evolutionism" into most posts, dodging requests for evidence, and making baseless assertions? Sure, he takes those things to an art form. It doesn't mean he's engaging with the actual issues at all. He came here because the people on the EvC forum kept showing up his substanceless claims and complaints of being picked on for what they were, and he knows he has a more sympathetic audience here. Most of the people here are going to cheer him on, rather than tell him he needs to provide evidence for his assertions. You and Russ have actually provided a lot more substance in conversations here than he has.
I hardly see it as being threatening, just amusing.
It's not threatening at all. It just lowers the bar some more and makes it even less likely that a serious discussion is going to take place any time soon. You could all start writing cartoons like this if you wanted, prevent discussion from happening at all, and the evolutionists would leave here. It wouldn't refect too well on you though, if you're actually wanting to convince people that creationism can seriously challenge evolution in any way.
