Cognitive dissonance occurs when new information threatens someone's belief system and they are not willing or ready to synthesise it. I don't deny the existence of evidence when it's quite clear that the evidence exists. I don't, for example, say "fossil sorting? What fossil sorting?" when it quite clearly is there. If you think I'm wrong about that then I am honestly interested in seeing your evidence to the contrary.

Secondly, you seem to be demanding that I list all of the evidence for evolution, along with information and links, or you will refuse to engage. I explained why this is pretty well impossible to do here, because it would require a whole library. What's more, it isn't going to work to talk about so many different topics all at once, in the detail that they would need. Therefore, I suggested we begin with one specific topic, which can easily be dealt with in a conversation here, and move on from there. For me, the sorting of the fossil record is one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle for evolution. I invited you to discuss it with me. I also invited you to take up the discussion of the flood again. Will you do any of these things, or continue to insist that I write up a library here and if I don't then I've somehow lost my case? It's an easy way out for you at any rate.



I'm sure you think so. In my experience, creationists don't like to have their beliefs questioned and they react with hostility when they are. They resort to name-calling sometimes, for example.
