I don't think you're making a very convincing case for yourself by declaring people like Einstein to be wrong when you don't understand much about the science in the first place. Like I said, you can go tell all the physicists who have been using his ideas for decades that he's wrong, and collect your Nobel Prize

Just to back this statement up further, citing Einstein to be a fraud and incorrect would require volumes and volumes of essays. It would require first and foremost a complete understanding of his accomplishments and an ability to confidently converse about any one of them at the snap of a finger (without the need to pause and go look it up first). In other words, you'd need to be an expert in the field. Anyone citing that Einstein is just a hoaxer or wrong would need to be outrageously intelligent, someone whose intelligence has likely afforded them some measure of fame (though not necessarily so please don't extract this quote and quibble about it, I said likely, not absolutely). It's certainly not going to be just some random poster who simply says Einstein's wrong and finalizes their conclusion with that statement alone -- no offense about calling you just some random poster on an internet forum but I'm included in the that group; I certainly don't have the means to profess an entire field of study is wrong or that one of the most intelligent minds in history is.

You can't just run around discrediting entire fields of study with links to websites and casual comments like "You can't DISPROVE that the Ancient Egyptians were visited by aliens." You'd need a lot more ammunition than that, and have to be one very special and rare person indeed. This means you, CTD, are either some rare, as of yet unfound genius, or a narcissist. Like Linda said in another post, technically anything could be true. Tomorrow the Theory of Gravity (as you would have your children taught in school to call it) could simply stop, and I have no way of proving that that won't some day happen. I mean, hey! Maybe that will happen -- you never know. You're right in saying the inability to prove it DIDN'T happen is not evidence in and of itself. But for that matter just as you cannot disprove YOUR god created the universe, you also cannot disprove someone else's god or pantheon was the responsible party. As I know other posters have asked before countless times without an answer, what evidence do you have that your god, and none other, created the universe?

The problem with those people who feel so innexorably fixated on claiming the bible is literal truth is that they will have a constant, uphill battle in trying to support any evidence whatsoever. The rest of the Christian world, however, who see much of it as metaphorical, have no battle at all. Their belief is a belief, just like any other religion, no more or less worthy than any others.

Lastly, if I were the sort of poster who made claims such as Einstein is a fraud or science is simply not true, or any other such audacious claim that being able to say it would mean being able to seriously back it up, I would be confident in my knowledge and feel in no way threatened by other posters because I'd know that I am right and they are wrong, I'd have the evidence to so easily back it up. As a result, I don't think I'd ever need to resort to name calling, making snide remarks, or belittling other posters by saying they have mercury poisoning, etc. I mean, if I were right, and I knew it through and through and could prove it, why would I need to post in an insulting manner? I think I'd just casually state that everyone is wrong and then I'd coolly, patiently lay down the evidence, piece by piece, for them to be wowed at. But that's just me.
