Well I've searched the net and have come to the conclusion that the only way I could get algin to here in Australia is from you Russ, you mentioned a phone number but can I ring that from here? Also how much will the product and shipping costs be. How long would it take to ship? I'm tossing up whether to keep taking the Heavy metal detox product by renew life which contains sodium alginate, or to just order it from you and have the straight algin..
Also one other question for u Russ. I take a multivitamin which has all the vitamins and minerals pretty much, and also includes other things like milk thistle. There is however a mutlivitamin included in the heavy metal detox that does contain good amounts of certain minerals such as selenium and molybdenum, but also contains copper 2mg which I've heard is not good. I take it in the morning sometimes with breakfast but sorta makes me a bit nauseous and dunno whether its doing me good. Should i be taking it with food? Should I be taking it at all? or should I take vitamins separately like vitamin c, vitamin E and selenium. lol sorry bout all the questions im just very curious.

Selenium and molybdenum are highly recommended for mercury toxic people. In addition, high doses of vitamin C, e.g. 1000 mgs. 5x day. Vitamin C helps to counteract the damage that mercury does to us. Some mercury toxic people tend to retain copper, thus copper supplementation is not recommended. It should be avoided. I know it's cheaper to take multis, however, for us, I think that individual minerals and vitamins are better, especially where we can control doses and take as much as we need. For example, a lot more molybdenum and vitamin C are recommended than you will find in a multi. I take a liquid molybdenum myself (better absorption). It comes with a dropper and I just take it all day long. Also, I buy liquid B vitamins as I prefer them for better absorption since I have gut problems. The B complex is also important with mercury toxicity. I would avoid copper if I were you.

I'll let Russ answer the specific questions you asked about the multi-vitamins, but here's the information regarding shipping Algin to Australia and the costs. We've offered everyone on the forum the chance to try Algin at our cost on your first order, which is $13.25 per bottle. The regular retail price is $19.85, so you'll save $6.60. There's no minimum you have to order, so you can try just 1 bottle or order more if you'd like. You can order Algin over the telephone by calling us here in the U.S at 716-487-9502. From Australia, you would need to dial: 0011-1-716-487-9502. We're available between 11am and 8pm Eastern Standard Time (depending on what part of Australia you live in, your local time is 12-15 hours laters than our local time). We usually can ship orders out within 24 hours. Shipping costs to Australia will depend on how many bottles of Algin you order, so here are some estimates: If we ship via regular airmail (it will take approximately 7-10 business days to arrive), shipping for 1 bottle will be about $8.00, and about $1.50 for each additional bottle. We can also ship via express airmail, which would reach you in about 3-5 business days, but it costs quite a bit more, starting at $17.00 for 1 bottle, and $3.50 for each additional bottle. You can also send all your ordering information to me using our secure, encrypted messaging system by clicking the link below: Secure Messaging SystemBe sure to include your complete mailing address as it should appear on the package, along with your credit card number, expiration date, and billing address (if different than the shipping address). Also, please include your email address and telephone number so we have a way of contacting you if we have any questions. Of course, also let us know what you'd like to order. I think that's everything. If you have any other questions, just let me know. Thanks! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

How to take vitamins and which ones to take really depend on your specific situation. It is a good idea to avoid copper but that doesn't apply to everyone. If the multi makes you feel nauseous, that doesn't necessarily mean it's got something in it that's bad for you. It could be that you're just not eating enough when you take it. For example, I use NSP's Supper Supplemental and it works great, however, if you don't take it with a decent-sized meal, you'll throw up. I would also caution you about Milk Thistle ... it's really good for the liver but if you're mercury toxic, it may induce symptoms. Here's the big picture... If I were you (of course this all depends on finances also), I'd be inclined to take the specific things I need to accomplish what I want to, so I'll take my best guess and give you some suggestions: - Vitamin E with Selenium - Antioxidant to protect the brain and supplies selenium which is depleted by mercury and should be taken with vitamin E - Vitamin C with Citrus Bioflavonoids - General antioxidant to protect against oxidative mercury damage. - Algin - Prevents redistribution of mercury from the intestines. - Zinc - Used to replenish supplies depleted by mercury. The there are, of course, a host of other things that can help with specific issues, such as thyroid problems (low energy, depression, weight gain, etc.): Thryoid Support There are a lot of things to consider but you just have to see what works for you. If you had blood work or more information, you could be more accurate in taking what would work for you. Hope this helps.
