Honestly, I've looked into this somewhat and having read the Bible many times and being familiar with the prophecies and information about the Messiah (Yashua, although most today call him Jesus), it really sounds to me that this is nothing more than Da Vinci having issues with the Catholic church. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time.

Despite what some people say, the Bible is an astounding and really amazing book. It's very deep, especially when you look at prophecy fortelling the future and Bible numerics.
