How willing is she to go the whole holistic route?

If she changed her diet and started taking supplements like vitamin C to boost her immune system, she might be able to gain the strength she needs to detox.

If she is already quite ill and you're not sure whether she'd be willing to do these things, then maybe some reconsidering is in order.

I can sympathise with your situation. Knowing what we know, as helpful as it is to us and those we can influence, becomes a frustrating burden when we see others who are ill and who would not listen if we tried to advise them. My husband's aunt is a good and kind lady whose health is deteriorating. There are some simple things she could do to improve the situation but she is in her 80s and well . . . some people aren't so willing to change by that time. One of the worst things she eats is margarine but there's no way I'd be able to convince her of how bad it is for her, she just would not listen.

Good luck with this, it sounds tricky.
