I have alot of muscle cramping especially at night and I tried to take calcium and mag. but my stomach feels like i have acid indigestion and the metal taste in my mouth gets way worse. I also get feeling very depressed which normally i don't feel like that. I know i need both cal. and mag. because i eat nodairy products, no gluten and limited fruit. I have tried mag. gylcinate liquid mag and also mag. injections they all upset my stomach and depress me . If anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it. I will be getting my fillings out October and i hope this mght help but am worried it won't.

I have to tell you, I had horrible heartburn after every meal when my amalgams were in. the day after they were out, the heartburn was gone and only recurs rarely now. I had my amalgams replaced in July of 2000. It changed my life dramatically. If you're interested, read my story here: http://herballure.com/mmsAlso, depression is one of the most common symptoms associated with mercury toxicity. If you want to try something in the mean time that may help try supplementing with tryptophan and a thyroid supplement such as this one: Thyroid Support Depression is often associated with low thyroid funcion and T3 thyroid hormone production is blocked by mercury. Hope this helps.

I have some good ideas for you as far as how you can get calcium and magnesium into you without these problems. I hope you have a juicer, if not, it would be a wise investment. They don't cost too much anymore, especially a small one. For calcium, juice Kale, parsley and broccoli. Always mix them in a 1-4 ratio with carrot juice. For magnesium juice carrot, apple, beet, broccoli and brussel sprouts. If you combine some from each group you will get both calcium and magnesium.

That's a great idea. Why didn't I think of that? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Russ, the reason you probably didn't think of that before was because your brain was poisoned with mercury, ha! ha!.

Why don't you drink milk? Is it lactose intolerance? I have celiac sprue and eat no grains. Also, lactose intolerance. I am, however, able to drink raw goat's milk kefir if I ferment it long enough (2 days). If this is your problem, I can let you know where to get some kefir grains (gluten-free: they're not really a grain)so you can make your own. If you treat them well, they will grow and ferment your milk long enough for you to will them to whomever. About the magnesium. I don't know if this will help but, I take epsom salts - about 3/4 tsp every morning (I am needing to increase it). I mix it in with my kefir - can hardly taste it.

You might want to try ionized magnesium ( www.mag-i-cal.com is where I order mine) it goes straight to the cells. Many of my friends who tried different forms of mg and couldn't take are taking this as well.
