Right…I really want to try some DMPS….it is prescription only, so I need a willing doctor. My doctor is useless. Anyone know a doctor that knows about mercury that is willing to prescribe it? In and around London is ideal, but I will travel if I need to.

Hey Are you really sure you want to try DMPS. I've been reading on it and seems more dangerous than DMSA. Scary to me but then all of it is so what do ya do? Right!

I got DMPS treatment in New York, about 67 times in total. I've been trying for years to get treatment in the UK for my family and had battles with the NHS that were a fruitless wastes of time. They essentially don't believe anyone has Hg poisoning and subsequently don't have a test. And, as you probably know in the NHS, if there's no test then you can't get treatment.
The best I came up with was Dr Heard, who I had to wait 1+ years for an appointment for then promptly after the first visit and DMPS treatment, retired. I flew all the way from San Francisco to the UK to take my sick brother there. The results were also not what I expected either. His metals test came back completely zero. This was using a DMPS suppository. Considering that I had him tested a few years back and he turned up Hg, along with a relief of symptoms from the chelation, I find it hard to believe that DMPS suppositories are the way to go.
I got Dr Heard off the DAN website I think. Might be a good place to start. Make sure that the Doc that does the DMPS has experience in using it because from what I know it's excellent at getting rid of Hg but, you have to know what you're doing. The only people I've come across who've had bad experiences with it were people who went to Doc's who didn't have a clue about the protocol to use. And, make sure you get IV nutrition with it too.
Regards.

Hi Rachel, I think sunshine is talking about oral DMPS, not the IV DMPS (which Andy advises against). Andy is fine with oral DMPS, as he is with oral DMSA. Oral DMPS taken frequent dose style is far more convenient, because it only needs to be taken every 6-8 hours (whereas DMSA is every 3-4 hours).
It is more expensive, it requires prescription, but if someone can get this? It's preferable. It is also usually better tolerated than DMSA and apparently even more effective...

Well, if Id continued to go by Andy's yellow book Id still be really sick with Hg poisoning. From my experience he's been wrong about allot of things. I don't think you can get more effective than an IV, you're shooting it into your arm. I would imagine that taking it by mouth is as none effectual as suppositories are. I got some good benefits from trans dermal. I used to put it around my ankles after I figured out that if the mosquitoes think that's a good place to bite me it must be a good place to try.
Regards.

Hi 40yrs, I was referring to skieslimit when I said Rachel. Sorry about that! (that's her real name). I was just responding to her concerns about the DMPS Sunshine was talking about.
Well you had a good experience with DMPS IV, I did not. It screwed me up big time. So I guess it is just individual reactions and Andy's helped me and got me detoxed from hg at that time and from my experience, he's been right alot of the time. Very accurate, but of course nobody is perfect.
Some people may not find his protocol suits them, but I've seen more than enough positive testimonies so far, which I posted on here a little while back.

Yes Bex is correct, I’m talking about getting some DMPS for oral chelation. I would not do IV DMPS. Not worth the risk IMHO. I know some people handle it (or risk it) but it’s not for me. My life if difficult enough as it is, I am clinging on for dear life to my job. Taking a chance that it will speed my recovery is a risk I will not take. It could funk me up and put me back on my recovery time, that has happened to lots and lots of other people. My wife is pregnant and I need to be functioning this year as best as possible.
Time for risks is gone, now I must play it as safe as I can. The Cutler protocol fits that bill.

Hi Bex and Sunshine I did not realize you were talking oral DMPS, actually I did not know there was an oral form...I'm not finished with Cutler's book yet! I guess I might have seen it through all my research but thought it was all IV and yes not a risk I am willing to take either. My nd wanted to do Iv dmps on me and scared me away from it just from trying to put my viruses down. They would just keep adding stuff until I would be in such pain I could not take it anymore. Knowing that the removal of the mercury would be even harder on the body I chose not to go that route. That is when I found this forum and thank God everyday for leading me to it and all of you. Also Iv Dmps was going to run me $75.00 a pop and they wanted to do it 40 times ...very expensive.

Thats $3000 Hardly surpising Doctors prefer that to frequent dose chelation....they make money from it.............................but maybe i'm just being cynical<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dead.gif" alt="" />
