Today, we made a few cosmetic improvements to the forum.

(1) Fixed "Instant UBB code" and "Graemlins" Javascript for use with FireFox.

The Javascript used for generating "Instant UBB Code" and "Graemlins" when making a post has only worked correctly with Internet Explorer. Today, we changed this script to work correctly with other browsers including the browser that is slowly taking over the net: FireFox.

Previously, code automatically inserted into a post with this Javascript would put the code at the end of the post rather then at the current cursor location when using any browser other then Internet Explorer. Now, the code works correctly regardless of what browser you're using.

We also removed the auto-generated spaces that were inserted before Graemlins. We though that you should be able to decide how your graemlins display without the system trying to guess what would be best for you.

Hopefully these changes will make using these features much easer for those using non-IE browsers (fast becoming a lot of people!).

(2) Increased Size and Font Size of Text Area Input Box when Posting

Previously, when making a post, you had to deal with a tiny 9 point font in a small text box.
Now, the text box is much larger and the font is 10 point so it's easier on your eyes.


Remember...

If you're using Internet Explorer, the text box size you see may not be larger. If this is the case, you can change them yourself by going into your "My Home" area (by clicking the link at the top of the page) and editing your "Display Preferences" and changing the values in the boxes labeled "TextArea columns" and "TextArea rows". You can also leave these blank to default to the system default settings.

Sorry to bother you here but...

I'm not sure if I'm in the right section but I've been looking for one on the board..
Looking for the board questions section but.. I was just wondering...
Are we all going by New York time here or is there a way to adjust my time clock
on my posts as they are all off by a couple of hours..
It was that way on the other board for me as well at one time and then I found the
place on the board to correct them..
And it just changed all the times on my posts but nothing else..
Is there a way to do that here or not??
Or do we all go by New York time here...
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place for this type of question..

Yep, click on My Home at the top of the page, then click "Edit" to the right of "Display Preferences".

The third item down lets you adjust your time in reference to the time on the forum. The forum uses New York time, so if you were in California, you would enter -3 in the box.
