I just started reading about vitamin K again and noticed how important vitamin K is in preventing the kidneys from excreting excessive amounts of calcium. In the past I thought vitamin K was just important for clotting purposes. Those doing chelation should keep this mind. If they are taking high doses of vitamin E they should also be aware that vitamin E is an antagonist to vitamin K. In the past I have only taken a vitamin K supplement when I felt a need to(ie. when having a nosebleed), and even then 100 mcg a day for just a few days. Now I am thinking that perhaps I should take 100 mcg a day of vitamin K every day.

Fresh cabbage has lots of natural vitamin K. Maybe you can find a good coleslaw recipe too.

Apparently one of the worse things to eat is wheat and other gluten grains for having this problem, plus sugar.

You can find that you start getting cold very easily. IF you take vitamin K, one of the first things you usually notice is you feel warmer. Vitamin K however, apparently should not be taken long term.

Your body should be absorbing it naturally and when it cannot do that, something is blocking it. I think it helps blood clotting...so you can see why it's probably not wise taken as a supplement long term.

Maybe I should try some. I get cold VERY easily, and this just happened in the last year or two. What is considered long term? I mean, how long would be the safest length of time to take it?
