I just started reading about vitamin K again and noticed how important vitamin K is in preventing the kidneys from excreting excessive amounts of calcium. In the past I thought vitamin K was just important for clotting purposes. Those doing chelation should keep this mind. If they are taking high doses of vitamin E they should also be aware that vitamin E is an antagonist to vitamin K. In the past I have only taken a vitamin K supplement when I felt a need to(ie. when having a nosebleed), and even then 100 mcg a day for just a few days. Now I am thinking that perhaps I should take 100 mcg a day of vitamin K every day.
