Hey guys, just an update...Now that my doctor got me feeling better with supportive therapies, and pulled me out of a debilitated state, they decided I was ready to chelate during my follow up visit yesterday. I have been chelating with DMSA + LA, 100 mgs. each, every three and a half hours, per Andy Cutler's protocol. Naturally this also includes during the night. I will do this for three days on and one week off. So far I don't have any really bad exacerbations in symptoms and the side effects are very minimal and include a tiny bit of nausea and upset stomach, which DMSA is known to do. I'm glad to finally be chelating. It's been a long time coming. I know that I am extremely poisoned and I just pray to God that I will regain my mental and physical health. My doctor says that based on my situation I will expect to chelate for at least two years. Thankfully they gave me a prescription for the DMSA which my insurance covered at the pharmacy. My prescription was for 225 capsules, which my doctor wrote so I could avoid a bunch of prescriptions and pay a copay each time. I asked the pharmacist how much this would have cost if I had to pay for it and he said $1400.00. Boy am I glad I live in Massachusetts where people like me who aren't working have state medical insurance that covers just about everything. We also didn't vote for Bush!!

Your state medical insurance, which "covers just about everything" - does it cover the services of non-MD practitioners? Say, could you get "free" medical advice and herbs from a Licensed Acupuncturist or Licensed Naturopath? Just curious, because here in Canada, our Medicare pays for only what MDs do, and a limited amount of chiropractor treatment (in certain provinces only).
Further, even though we pay for non-MD consultations and treatments ourselves, these practitioners ultimately are under the supervision of the various colleges of physicians & surgeons, who tell the non-MDs what they can & cannot do.
What does not voting for Geo. Bush (I'm from Canada) have to do with this matter you are referring to? I am not knowledgeable on your system over there.
Animals feel pain & suffering just as we do, and they value their lives as much as we value ours.

Carla, I giggled when I read your post. Actually, because I am on social security disability because I was poisoned by the dentists and thus pretty sick, in addition to having state medical insurance, I also have medicare. I am currently being treated by an M.D. for amalgam illness, but he practices what is called functional medicine, an alternative type of medicine, so because he is an MD, my insurance covers him. With regards to our not voting for Bush in Massachusetts, I just mean that we are a democratic state and known to be one of the most liberal states in the U.S. and therefore, we have lots of good services here for the low income people, and lots of free medical care at good hospitals.
