Does anyone know of a good lab with a quick turnaround for this?
I know that hair tests aren't always reliable but maybe it's worth doing just to see what's happening with me. Mercury has been mobilised in me for months due to chelation so hopefully something would show up. A little bit of concrete evidence would be helpful.
I also need to get a dental check-up with my daughter. I'm rather frightened. I've read Bex's thresd about toxicity from the dentist's office but there doesn't appear to be anything I can do to protect myself.

Hi Linda I would do the DDI hair analysis. That way you can compare it with others on FDC and apply the counting rules. http://www.directlabs.com/testtypes.phpscroll down until you get to the Essential Elements hair test. That way you will get not just the toxic metals, but also the Ca/Mg, Na/K ratios which will tell you whether you have thyroid / adrenal problems. Cost $99 (or less?). You may have problems ordering online, as their software is not set up to accept non-US orders. Email them, and they are very responsive. Total turnaround time about 3 weeks if you are quick aswell. Best Nicola

Thanks Nicola. All the labs that do this seem to be in the US, though apparently some UK companies sort the analysis out for you and simply utilise a US lab. Why can't we manage to have a few of our own labs here I wonder?
