Hello, I really agree with the parastie/candida/mercury link as well. However, I really disagree that the stool tests are not valid. I had my test through diagnos techs which is a very good company for this type of test. My doctor treats patients with candida and mercury and he uses this test. I had the extensive GI panel which found tape worm, roundworm, toxoplasma, and an ameba. Also moderate levels of 2 kinds of yeast. The only problem is that it tests for the antibodies for the parasties, so you have to wait at least 6 months to get re-tested. Otherwise, it will just come back positive even if the actual parastie is gone. I had my test 8 months later and got rid of everything!! I also had the urine test for toxic metals, pre and post tests. My level of mercury was 14 which is very high. It has been a year sinse those tests and I just took it again to see how I am doing. I want to get pregnant, so I need to make sure I got rid of the mercury. I'm so curious to see what the score is now. I cleaned up my gut, did 4 months of chelation, had FIRS. We shall see.
A year before getting the GI test I saw a different doctor. She recommended some kind of electo dermal type test. It said that I had NO parastes and no mercury. I just wish I had the the GI test and chelation challenge test sooner.
