Hi James, apparently the bacteria from root canals is much the same as that contained in cavitations.....both as bad as eachother. So I really do not know what the answer is. For me? I'd not get a root canal, unless it was one that was done by a biologic dentist who may have used the up-to-date methods that apparently are a much better way of doing them and seem to feel that they don't have the risks as the others. Not sure what the answers are. You will know in yourself as time goes on I'm sure. You can tell if something is really wrong and if it isn't broke, then yeah don't fix it. See how you feel with no amalgams first. I know what you mean about invasive surgeries and things, so often a person comes out wishing they'd never done it! I am not so sure though that this is quite the same as removing a big source of toxicity (root canals). But again, it's all a risk isn't it? Yu can always talk to a biologic dentist sometime about them. Take a read of this. This dentist on this link would not do root canals, but is now doing them becuase of the apparently biologic method they now have. Again I still don't know how safe even this would be, but check it out. http://www.integrativedentalmedicine.com/RCTtox.htmlhttp://www.integrativedentalmedicine.com/ocalexic.html
