If you all remember there was a letter that I wrote to my dentist that Russ attached for me on this forum. This is the reply I received from an Insurance Company asking me to sign a paper to proceed with "investigation". I don't know if there is any point to pursuing this as conventional doctors never found anything wrong with me, hence I was not diagnosed with any illness, I am the only person who diagnosed myself with mercury poisoning. Any thoughts on how to proceed?
"First Professional Insurance Company, This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter to Dr. Cuculici concerning treatment you received at her office on Feb.8th, 2005. So that we may process with our investigation into this matter, we ask you to complete the enclosed authorization for medical information so that we can secure your medical records from Carrollwood University Hospital ER as well as the records of any other healthcare providers who have treated you for your alleged injuries"

Sounds link now would be a good time to find a doctor who knows how to diagnose mercury and see what happens. You are the victim afterall and your deserve renumeration if you have been poisoned.
Perhaps you should follow through with the letter and see what happens.

Hello Nina,
If I may add my two cents...... Please don't sign anything without a lawyer.
If you sign that contract, then they will have permission to go through ALL of your personal medical records....they are working for that doctor to protect her.....they are not trying to protect you. And they are not trying to get you money or help you to get your mercury removed. You have to get your own lawyer and pay him to protect you.
If there is nothing in your medical history to prove that you are suffering from mercury poisoning then that will be an end to your case. And they could possibly turn and attack you for accusing the dentist of poisoning you.....or whatever you said.
If you get your own lawyer, he can fix it so that they can have only some of your information, only the information you want them to have.
Please be careful, lawyers are sneaky and underhanded.....they will try to trick you.
If you hire your own lawyer, then he can protect you, but not if you sign such a wide sweeping contract before he can properly advise you.

I think Elaine gives great advice about consulting a lawyer.
I too am the only person who has diagnosed myself with mercury poisoning. I think it's absolutely terrible that "the powers that be" won't acknowledge this problem or help us.

Absolutely true.
If you can get a lawyer, they will probably advise you to get diagnosed as mercury toxic?specifically from the amalgams?from two-or-more Doctors. This (in combination with some other things) will position you for a great case (if you choose to take it that far).
Checking with a lawyer first is a very good idea, however.

Thanks for your advice, however in my situation it is highly unlikely that I can get a lawyer to help me with this (I am outside of United States right now) nor would I be able to afford one even if I was still there. And secondly I have not been able to locate a single doctor who has been able to diagnose me with amalgam illness making this issue therefore probably useless to further pursue legally. I guess I will just have to accept the situation as one of the many injustices that happen in our world. I stand powerless for now.

It took a lot of courage for you to write that letter in the first place.
Do a search for a lawyer.....I was reading about a lawyer that takes on Dental companies.....yes, he's in America but maybe you can find one where your from.
Most lawyers here work until they get money from the companies and then they take a big chunk of it.
I don't know....but check your options before you throw in the towel. Your laws may make it easier for you to sue.
