When I had my first bout of CFS which was about a year after I started getting dental work again I recovered in about a year (I mentioned in another post). I was on prescription Bupropion (generic Wellbutrin). During that time the only supplement I took with great frequency was Melatonin. I remember taking 3mg (the most I've ever taken at once) and slept like I did when I was young (wonderful). I also was much into weighlifting and was taking a lot of protein powder (milk+egg and probably soy). Maybe an odd multi vitamin here and there but nothing else regular than the melatonin and protein. Once the initial period of being scared to death about my health and running from Dr. to Dr. settled it was about a year before I could say I was cured. I kept going to the gym all the while sometimes under intense anxiety. Anyway, now after reading the above from: http://www.cancertutor.com/Autism/ComprehensiveGuide.docI'm thinking that the Melatonin was much more important than I originally thought. It appears that he refers to a study on melatonin having chelating properties along with some other very interesting actions. If that's the case how lucky was I to stumble upon a "cure" my first go around.
