I looked abit around on this forum, but could not find any posts written about high histamine and adrenaline. It is well known that high histamine causes adrenaline rushes, because adrenaline is the only thing that quickly clears excessive levels of histamine. High histamine must be common among mercury toxic people, and it causes allergies and skin rashes. Skin rashes were infact the very first symptom I got. I can also remember the adrenaline rushes, feeling stressed and the itching on skin. There is some indication that the toxic acetaldehyde that the candida produces can trigger excess histamine production, and so can mercury too. This may be enough to explain the stress on the adrenals.

What is even more surprising and important is that histamine released into the synapses is broken down by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, and this channel is definitely stressed if you have lots of candida toxins around (acetaldehyde, metallic taste..).

Methionine could help with this (breaks down histamine) ,and anti-histamine medications seems like a bad idea. To support
the acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, my old suggestion is still B5 (lots of it) + molybdenum (this worked out just very well for me). Folic acid should be avoided with high histamine, but I didn't notice any bad reactions from that.

One can also try L-carnosine, as it may affect the histamine status, because carnosine breaks down to histidine, and may increase histamine (which is not what you want). I got hives from 100 mg of L-carnosine, which is not a normal thing to occur, but I'm not sure if this was a good or bad reaction (should it be avoided or not), because histamine is also known to be released when excess toxins are cleared out.
