hi bg, No I can't honestly say that the symptoms we share got worse necessarily after removal. They were still there. Removing my amalgams got rid of other symptoms and illnesses for me though (i.e., chronic epstein barr virus). But, as I said, I did have adrenal exhaustion before removal but I didn't know it. Since the Lyme Disease and Bartonella infections have become more severe in me, I've noticed an increase in the panic/anxiety/tachycardia issues despite treating the adrenals. My adrenals are being treated now with a medication called Cortef. It's a bio-identical form of cortisol and I'm taking it in very small doses called physiological doses. Just enough to replace what my body isn't making. I'm also using supplements and such to help boost my adrenals and the endocrine system. These were prescribed to me by my treating physicians as well. And I agree with Bex, a good, therapeutic diet can help with anything. I try to stick with an antifungal diet but as other illnesses have become more severe, I've had to make some changes for myself and include more complex carbs. :-( Anyway, the adrenal issue might not be applicable to you. I just thought I'd mention it in case it might be helpful. Mercury is a known endocrine system disruptor. It really does a number of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal axis in the body. Yesterday I posted a long article to LInda's thread on the Forum here about adrenal fatigue and function. It lists symptoms, etc. Here's the link in case you want to have a look at it: http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1I've written some about adrenals in the past and posted some articles and there are some threads here on the forum about it. Also Imegha here on the Forum has also posted excellent information on the subject. I hope you start to feel better soon! Sharon
