Hi bg,

Boy I can so relate to what you describe! I've had these symptoms off and on before I had my amalgams removed in 2006 as well as after.

I was diagnosed with hypoadrenia, which is adrenal exhaustion. My adrenal glands are not able to produce the amount of cortisol that is needed for my body. I evidently had this condition before my amalgam removal, but it was not diagnosed until afterwards. I'm now being treated for it. And it does help reduce the episodes.

In addition, I found out a few months ago that I've had Lyme Disease and some Lyme Disease Co-infections (bartonella, mycoplasma is what's been found so far). The Bartonella infection in particular is known to cause episodes of anxiety, panic, palpitations and tachycardia. I've had these infections for years and they had gone undiagnosed.

Anyway, I'm just sharing my experience. I suppose lots of things can cause panic/anxiety/palpitations/tachycardia -- ranging from toxicities, vitamin/enzyme/mineral deficiencies, an undiagnosed cardiac problem, to existing infections.

It really takes detective work to try and get to the bottom of everything!

I sure am glad that the doctors insisted on testing my adrenal gland and thyroid gland function though. That was a significant piece of the puzzle for me.

Metals can be very hard on the endocrine system and alot of times it does need support because of this.

Hope this helps.

Sharon
