Having had dental work done relatively recently, I have felt knocked out. The first side of my mouth that was done produced similar symptoms, but this time it's been much worse.

I first blamed mercury vapor in the dental office itself, but now am wondering if it's the local anaesthetic that has done this. I am hyper sensitive and do not eliminate toxins properly.

I am trying DMSA and normally when I've had a re-exposure to mercury the DMSA works well and doesn't take long before it starts improving me again. This time it does not seem to be doing a thing.

I am walking around drugged. Exhausted beyond words and cramping. I just have to SIT nearly permanently and trying to move anywhere is a marathon effort. So I assume the dental work was too much for my already weak system.

Anybody else experienced this? I had the last dental work done on the 18th December, so I've been like this now ever since. I wasn't great before it admittedly, but I am much worse now. It's been over a month.

Just to be clear, I do not have amalgams. The dental work was simply removing old white plastic composites (mercury free) and replacing them with a stronger material, which I had previously tested for biocompatibiity....

Any comments welcome.
Thanks!

Bex, any type of chemical weakens the ileocecal valve which causes significant seepage into the bloodstream and heightenes detox reactions. Check out my post in the other forum about ileocecal valve and see if this applies to you: http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/sh...&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

yeah I wondered for a long time if my swollen glands were really due to mercury or the anesthetics. That dentist pumped so much whateverr into my jaw because whatever he used wasn't numbing me.

But anyway... the swollen glands pretty much went away after i had that one tooth pulled finally, I drank a lot of echinacea tea after the extraction that helped a lot... i thought I actually felt them drain... but they still didn't ever stay down 100% till recently when i ate a whole big bunch of fresh aloe gel, or else... it was the liver flush I did a couple weeks ago unloade some old trapped stuff too. Honestly I still won't give them a 100% better rating but they are definitely at about 97-98% normal healthy like prior to the dental incidents, up from about 80-90% better from a month ago, and some days they aren't swollen even a tad anymore. It took a full year of going at it though, cleansing etc. you know how much stuff i've been doing, a lot of cleansing.

It's such a relief for me. I give the aloe a lot of credit there. do a colon cleanse Bex. It's easy enough and helps most things immediately. I am going to make colon cleansing a part of my stay healthy regimin from now on... not an item for when i am sick, an item for staying well.

Hi James, thanks I have seen your post on this. Not sure what to think of that. Perhaps it's something i can try. I'll wait till you type more up about it.

Sosick, thanks but I have done colon cleanses in the past (enemas?) and honestly they never helped me. I hated doing them, but to have no notable improvements does not exactly encourage me to do them again. I was told then that this would help me and it didn't.

I remember doing this and I was having homeopathy and paying out the cash and seemingly getting detox reactions and then it would wind up going ..... nowhere. I was pretty desperate but my "cleansing" efforts never paid off. Diet did help me to some degree, but that was the only thing that did.

I can always try one again I guess, but I do not feel encouraged. I feel completely fed up with it all to be honest. I have done two parasite cleanses, which also did not really improve my condition. I "thought" it did a little bit, but the second dental visit has made things so much worse that I am not finding relief from anything.

My whole body (bones everything) feels oddly painful all over. I get stiff joints now as well. I just sense that all the toxins from the dental work (anaesthetic and probably breathing in the office vapor) has gone into me and probably been absorbed all over the place.

Anyway guys I appreciate your advice here and it always does give me other options should I wish to give it a go again sosick or try yours James.

I just feel worn down by it all. The worse I am, the less I seem able to do to even help myself. It's a vicious cycle.

I am making efforts with my diet and it seems the smallest cheat sends me into a complete relapse. That gets to you after a while because a cheat can include a piece of "fruit".

I'm not sure enemas alone qualify as a colon cleanse. Together with an herbal cleanse is different. the herbs loosen stuff up so it can get flushed out.

I would at least do some herbals, Swiss Kriss or similar at minimum should at least get you to unload what's been hanging on down there. I paid only $6 for a small bottle of Swiss Kriss tablets. A bottle of actual full colon cleanse herbals cost me about $15 at the health food store.

A couple days of unloading via the herbals is probably a good idea every 4-6 weeks even for healthy people.

The cramping is telling you it's in your stomach. You are suppose to follow a parasite cleanse with a liver cleanse because the dead parasites really don't all have a way to get out of there unless you flush them out with the little stones and stuff that block (everyone's) liver.

But I would still do at least a few days of herbals for a quick colon cleanse first.

The Hulda Clark liver cleanse with epsom salts, olive oil and grapefruit is the one I am talking about. It's real easy, will take a few days to get back to normal afterward is all.

Most colon cleans herbals work pretty well to break up little obstructions and sticky stuff that is lodged down there. Figure that one for a lifetime now and then routine.

I get all sorts of weird stuff come out from the liver cleanses, little teeny bright orange balls of stuff, specks of white probably dental plastics, you name it. But don't be afaid tio do one or 3 or 4. they're real good for you. You have to wait at least 2 weeks in between liver flushes. doesn't really cost anything except your time on the couch. Follow directions to the tee. I have done 4 so far and am always amazed at how wonderful I feel afterward.

The parasite cleanse is super important but it's really just a step toward doing a liver flush to complete the job. can't do a liver flush without a parasite cleanse.

Hi, thanks sosick for the extras! I can't use grapefruit unfortunately, but lemon would be ok.

Not sure how I'll go about it. Right now I am just mainly sitting or lying down and am barely functioning.

anyway appreciate the advice you've given!

Lemon is good.

If you feel you've done enough colon cleansing in the past i would simply go for it. The epsom salts are going to give you quite a push anyway. Hulda's pages I've read indicate she has had great success helping some pretty ill people with that liver flush. Lying down is the position you pretty much need to maintain for 12-15 hours anyway with that.

The one thing I would do is drink a teaspoon of apple cider vinegaer in a glass of water a couple times a day for a few days prior as a quick kidney cleanse. You should always do that prior to the liver flush, every time.

salads with mushrooms and stuff like that is great to eat just prior to it, i stuffed myself with pasta prior to my last one too and it worked out real well. She suggests eating apples too. You do want a good amount of low fat food in your stomach prior to starting, that is important, gives the liver the push it needs later in the evening during the fasting part. Make sure you drink plenty of water prior to starting too or you will get real thirsty. I also like to drink apple cider prior.

Unclog your liver and natural detox goes so much easier. I unloaded a lot of heavy metals (could smell it real strong in the bm's) after each one... must have been trapped in my bile ducts with stones I think. Lots and lots of stones. scary to see what comes out of there the first time. But that liver cleanse makes my head feel better than anything else i know, yes, my head. It's real good for you.

Yeah Sunshine, I've done enemas in the past, but not herbal colon cleanses or what Sosick has mentioned here. I found enemas did not help my condition at all. I remember taking other cleanses back then, which did not help the overall condition. I also had homepathy which did not help, even though I gave it a good go and spent a lot of money on this. The problem remains because it's not being dealt to. No amount of efforts pay off in the long run because what is going on is there 24/7.

I know my body pretty well and am fully aware there is far more to this. I've done alot in the past that may not be exactly the same as what others have done, but I've done a lot in desperation. Things went horribly permanently wrong since I got like this following virus and dental work. I was not like this before. Yes I was sick, very very sick, but sick in the way that things I did gave results to which gave me the ability to improve over time, as some do on here.

I also have diarreah lately pretty badly, so reluctant to go take anything to bring this on even further and irritate what is already obviously irritated.

But am taking onboard what's been suggested here.

Thanks again sosick. Could you please give me the actual recipe and way of taking Hulda Clark's liver cleanse? I'm sorry if you've posted this before, but I cannot find it. I really need things spelt out because I simply do not know.

I have to be careful with apple cider vinegar, but I'm sure I'd get away with one teaspoon in water twice a day. I cannot eat apples. This caused a diet relapse over a week ago. As soon as I ate an apple, brain fog set in and I went even further down hill.

Am I supposed to do some kind of bowel cleanse before this? With herbals?

I am a bit confused here. I don't know what to do when to do it. I have diarreah lately as well, so it makes it a bit awkward.

Really appreciate things being outlined, so I can simply follow it to the letter.

Thanks.

hi bex, i just read this post,im sorry your not so good, it took me a long time to feel well after anasthetic, it doesnt agree with me at all. i have alot to face this year with cavitation surgery and 2 fillings, not looking foreward to it at all, im already fragile, im still having lots of symptoms, some new ones too, though mental state not so bad.
the only thing i can suggest is detoxing, liver flushes are amazing, but like so sick says do the parasite cleanse first, otherwise it wont work properly or you could become worse off.
i did a few liver flushes in the past, i couldnt believe the results,my liver never aches now, and i know it is working more efficiently.dawn xx

Hi Dawn, I've bought two parasite cleanses and did them within the last month or so...not sure if I'd need to do another one. They are ridiculously expensive. Id probably opt for a cheapy one if I do another one.

I did not really notice much change at that time, maybe a bit. However, in the long run it's not been helpful to me as my last dental appointment has really made me very very ill. Not sure if I can put that down to parasites....

As for bowel cleansing...well something has set off ongoing diarreah (sorry for too much information) recently and if this isn't clearing things out, I don't know what is. I am going everyday, many times a day. not pleasant. I think it may have started with too much vitamin C oneday and it's not stopped since. OR, my body is making some delayed attempt at clearing stuff out. I've been on the diet for over a week, so it's possible it might be part of that. I had eaten a bit of fruit and had to start the diet again. (only an apple).

I am so angry over it all because I really would LOVE to have some nice raw juicy fruit as I think it is really cleansing. But does me no good. Does me lots of harm.

But things have been haywire since dental work. Like with you! Taking ages to recover after it. I don't see any light right now at all and it's been nearly two months.

I'm glad to hear liver flushes have done good in you! Maybe they will help me, I don't know.

Best wishes on the cavitation surgery and fillings...I gather you mean composites? Possibly incompatible ones getting replaced with more compatible? I did this recently, but for me it's not made a bit of difference. So I assume it's down to virus and infection. AT least I gave it a go though, it eliminates another possible "cause" I guess.

Cheers.

Bex,
I hope you are feeling better by now.
I recently posted also wondering did anyone have a reaction to the local anasthetic,I was so scared of it that I had my 9 fillings replaced without the anasthetic,I only experienced one jolt of pain though as none of my fillings went down very deep, mostly on the surface.

When I went to get a mole removed in December I had to get the local anasthetic.I know this is quite different because your
inside your mouth is a completely different story than on your back, however it all ends up being dealth with by our organs, our blood, our lymph system,
I think it took ages to recover from the procedure...The next day I had a lymphdrainage massage and all of my symptoms were flared up & magnified.
It makes sense that alot of us would be supersensitive to stuff like that.
I think we have to work much harder to deal with them at the moment anyway, and our bodies don't need any more crap to deal with!

Hope you feel better soon

Bex,

Stomach cramps and diarreah, much feeling awful and laying on the couch.

Bex, you have a stomach bug. It's a stomach flu. You must clear up the stomach bug before doing anything else.

I know it sounds odd but this will make you feel better within a few hours... get some Kaopectate or other similar diarreah OTC medicine... take a couple tablespoons of that... get some Coca Cola, you only need a little bit and i know coke isn't on your list but do it anyway because the bug is much worse for you and diarreah for days on end dehydrates your system... you only need a very small amount of coke... real coke, not pepsi not diet coke... coca cola... after you take the Kaopectate slowly sip maybe a half cup of coke over a period of an hour or two, you can drink up to a full cup of coke.

The stomach bug should clear up within a few hours.

Give yourself a good week to renourish and rehydrate after the diarreah before doing anything else like a liver flush. DO NOT do the liver flush with existing diarreah and a possible stomach bug.

It works Bex..I have had to do it in the past... works like a charm... when my mom was a nurse years ago doctors would use that formula in the emergency room at the hospital where she worked.

do not drink any water or eat anything with the kaopectate and coke.

I'll find the hulda link tomorrow.

Hi sosick, I do not think this is a stomach bug. Reason being, this happens to me often. usually after cheating on my diet and then getting back on track, I sometimes get what I feel is a bug, yet it's happening everytime I don't know if it is.

My lower gut has always been messed up since wisdom tooth removal. Again, this odd gangrene connection this one doctor keeps connecting with my gut, maybe what's going on, I don't know.

But again this happens eachtime I cheat on my diet. I truly do not want to take any risks at this point. I'd rather let nature take it's course and even stop taking my supplements. I am also getting chills everytime I go to the toilet, I feel myself shaking a bit. This happened every other time too.

Thanks sosick for your suggestions, you're a pro. I just cannot afford to take ANY coke. I refuse to even risk it right now, especially after what happened from eating an "apple". I'm going to just see if I can ride this out.

It's happened before too, and I did get over it. I am HOPING that this will ease soon. Could it be part of die off I wonder? If it's stomach bugs ,then I am getting them nearly every few weeks....

Hi Sunflower,

You are very brave getting teeth done with no anaesthetic. I am a whimp, I refused to risk pain like that. Yet....the ongoing agony post dental work is much worse I guess. However, my cavities are very big and deep and even WITH anaesthetic, sometimes I could feel pain. I would have been too distressed for the dentist to continue if he had not numbed me.

I admire your courage! It is also far healthier too.

Yep, I don't think it matters where you get the anaesthetic, every area of the body internally is obviously under strain from trying to deal with the toxins from them. I was already under strain, so no surprise that I've wound up a complete invalid almost. Wasn't exactly bouncing before.

Just taking it really easy right now and am going to go off all my supplements, because I don't know if any of them are causing more problems than not. I'll just drink my herbal teas and stick to my boring diet. I don't mind boring, so long as I get better!!!

Take care and thanks for your concern and kindness!

I don't know Bex... I'm a big fan of coke, for things like you've got, nothing beats it.

I don't drink it all the time, that's not good, but I always keep some on the shelf. Anytime someone around here gets a queasy stomach or anything like that, out comes the coke and away go the tummy problems.

I used to get terribly carsick as a little kid and coke was also the only thing that helped me way back then... we'd never have gone on any summer vacactions at all with me puking like that in the car if it weren't for coke. I still take it along if I am driving somewhere more than 250 miles away.

You really need to do something if that's been ongoing, the diarreah is not good for you. Dehydrates you terribly and yet if you drink water or eat you are simply feeding the bug or whatever it is.

...useful as a cleaning product for metal... no kidding.

kills stomach bugs on contact.

I often attribute my good health to it. use sparingly.

no, not kidding. far from it. one of my greatest fears is not having any on the shelf. I had to have quite a few long discussions with my daughter about it. She thought it was candy. I keep telling her, this is not for drinking every day and we don't want to be without it when we are sick... she seems to have gotten the message by now, it's helped her plenty of times by age 13.

well you know... the germans have their kraut but the americans won the war.

coke, yes.

it actually was once sold at pharmacies for a reason. people tend to overdo a good thing though.

It is very bad for your bones and teeth if you drink lots of it. But there are dangers to too much colon cleansing too I suppose.

I think I will go pop one open. It's been awhile I'm probably overdue. zap some of that yeast and whatevers.

whatever works, that's fine with me.

I used to drink it everyday. that was way back when i was a stunning picture of good health. i sometimes wonder of my own diet restrictions are always helpful. maybe even i should drink it more often again. it is not good for your bones though in large quantities, that's a fact. But then again, neither is dmsa.

I like it warm at room temperature, straight, no ice, in a glass.

maybe it etches the mercury out of my blood. It etches calcium, they've studied that but they don't sudy stuff like the effects of phosphoric acid on lead in your body because the lead is not suppose to be there. I think it's safe to assume certain things. especially when lead replaces calcium in bones. maybe even coke is bad for your bones because it removes lead and doesn't replace it with calcium no one has stuidied that either.

well I guess that was lunch then.. bagel and cream cheese... coke and apple cider. but hey sunshine, I have lamb chops marinating for dinner! I am not getting any work done here at all we skied for almost 8 hours yesterday the kid would not quit she loves the snowboarding my muscles feel like pudding.

Hi Bex
I am so sorry you are feeling so awful. I don't know any more to tell you except what everyone else has said but I can say this when I had all the ulcers, they did not bother me all the time. To begin with my stomach would only hurt when I would ovulate up until my period and then the pain would somewhat subside until that time again. That is why I did not think it was h-pylori. When this all began it just came on 1 month out of the blue. Well that horrible pain started in september but for 3 years prior to that month I would have some stomach pain when having a bm and sometimes when I would eat hot stuff. This pain would last maybe a couple of hours and would subside. It usually happened around the same time of the month too. I am 46 and menopausal and have also had a tubal ligation 13 years ago. I have also had Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and IBS for about 12 years. Well anyways I was thinking maybe it is some kind of bacterial infection you have or like you say could be the gangrene connection.
The weird thing about all of the ulcers part of the month I could eat just about what I wanted but the other part of the month I would kill over in pain if I touched anything unless I cooked it here at the house with nothing on it and I could not handle any raw foods. I waited 6 months before I went to the doc and that was only because I was in such horrible pain and weak I just could not hang anymore. They said h-pylori and I could buy that but why did it all center around that time of the month? Still it has been 10 months and I have been very careful but I still have problems with my stomach during that time of the month. Lately I have been coming across new foods that are bugging me too. So because of all of this I have done alot of research on endometriosis and other problems such as that. Everytime I would start digging I kept running into liver congestion and how the liver would use the lower abdomen to dump excess toxins when it could not keep up and also cause ulcers in the stomach. Hence the historectomy. Anyways I have been using the castor oil pack and has been helping alot. I have been doing a parasite cleanse and my shoulders were killing me and Sunshine said it could be parasites stuck in the bile duct so I slept with the castor oil pack that night and shoulders are all better. I don't know if this will help but maybe if it is the gangreen your liver may be working so hard to do its job that it is congested. I keep having some pain still and I believe it is my liver being overworked. I am still doing as much detoxing as I can without doing the chelation, my stomach is just not ready to handle it yet. I am doing a colan cleanse next and liver flush so maybe that will help the liver a little bit. I work with alot of cleaning supplies and painted apts for awile and was probably too much toxins along with the mercury for me to handle. Anyways I just thought maybe it could be a problem concerning the liver having to work so hard and maybe the castor oil pack could give you some relief. I have figured out why they say detoxing is like peeling an onion with each new layer there are different things going on. I have been having problems with the sulpher foods lately when 2 months ago I was fine with them. Some of the foods I could not eat 6 months ago I can eat now. Really weird but I never know when I am going to eat the wrong thing and have my stomach kill me. Anyways probably rambleing but thought this might give you some more ideas to look for. BTW I had a sonogram dome of liver, pancreas etc and all came back good so go figure. I hope you feel better soon and I hope this might help in some way.

Cool post Rachel. You have a great plan of action there.

I’m really enjoying the castor oil packs too. Sleeping with the castor oil pack! I like that idea.

The liver flush will help your liver more than a bit, it felt like like a miracle had happened to me after my first one. But plan on doing half a dozen over a period of a few months. You'll need more than one, you'll understand why after you do your first one and it'll give you the impetus to keep going too.

here is the link to the hulda clark liver cleanse for Bex:

and here is a page with some other options for liver flushes too:

(notice the classic coke recipe y'all)

Hi Rachel, thanks for your post. I am sorry you have been through so much yourself! It is so hard to pin down as to the actual cause. My problems are permanent, even though people have told me for years that all I need do is detox. This has proven time and again it is not the answers to my problems.

If any relief is gotten it is always temporary because the issue is there 24/7. It is more than one thing also and my immune system is under constant strain.

I am willing to try some of these things and probably will start with some kind of bowel cleanse first. And later a liver cleanse if I feel I can handle it.

I have a homeopathic detox kit, which cleanses the lymph, kidneys and liver too and something else. That is something I may do also. That way I'll feel like I'm getting everything. But no amount of cleansing fixes a gangrenous condition or viral for that matter. It does indeed help many other problems though I am sure. I used to get help from them in the past before this.

However, worth a try and relief at this point would be nice, but if I am to have any kind of a life? I need help to fix what's really going on (if it can be fixed). However, after my last reaction to dental work, I doubt I'll be able to handle anymore for a long time. But next on my list is probably finding an oral surgeon who might look at opening up every wisdom tooth site and clearing them out. Most dentists and oral surgeons are the cause of cavitations in the first place. Most of them don't remove the periodontal ligament, so it just stays there without any further requirement, rotting pretty much and hindering bone growth.

Many people have them, but immunity can often keep them at bay and stop the bacteria from travelling from mouth into the system. Other people, such as myself, often fall complete victim to them and become chronically ill. This is a possibility with myself.

Anyway, again thanks for your kind concern and I am glad you yourself have had some relief for your own condition. You maybe right in what's going on with me, but again the problem itself has got to be taken care of, or this will become a lifelong battle for me regardless of what lengths I go to.

Will keep you guys posted though when I do these things and what happens.

Cheers.

Hi Bex
I know what you mean about the whole underlying condition I also have 6 viruses, at least that is what the ND told me and so I am wondering too if all of that will or can resolve with chelation. Who know's apparently Dr's don't. Well all we can do is pray and keep trying but sure is tough and feels sometimes like fighting a losing battle. Hang in there tho and I will be praying for you.

Hi Rachel,

Oh gosh, 6 viruses? I assume these are active, rather than dormant? I apparently have cyto-megalo virus, epstein barr virus (glandular fever) and I think coxsackie 6 and no doubt others, but not reactivated....

Odd thing is, when I got really sick from this infection and had testing, two nurses told me I had cyto-megalo virus and this is what was wrong....yet when I went to see the doc, he denied it and said that the nurses were wrong and that it showed I had it, but it's not active....

So I don't know what to believe, but something sure was going on.

Well, I'm not sure whether things like this can be resolved with chelation, but that depends I guess. I don't know if mine is. If it is, it'll most likely be remaining brain mercury because DMSA doesn't do a thing now. But I feel it's not really that, I think I just got something volatile and that was it. And of course gangrene from cavitations do not usually allow healing to take place, so that might be why I can't bounce back. Cavitations can also prevent healing from mercury. andy Cutler mentions this if someone stops making progress.

So yeah so many things can be likely, but hard to get solid proof of what's going on. All we can do is try and hope we'll hit the jackpot.

Thanks for your concern and prayers!
