No, I don't believe blessing a house will change a person's behaviour, but I'd do it anyway. Any touches of God grace is worth it in my opinion. I know since we had our place blessed, it's been better. I don't think that's my imagination either. I'd do it regardless. Probably make any demonic spirits around them or in them uncomfortable too.

Well, I can understand why you don't bother much with unbelievers. Very often you can't change people anyway and the best thing for me has been to pray for them. I have unbelievers as friends (distant friends, because I don't see people now), I grew up in a pretty secular home and wasn't overly Christian, so I never lost some of those friends. It's just a pity they've pushed God out. But I'm always hopeful something may happen oneday. I know people around my age who seem to believe in God, but that's about it. They're very much of the world as far as "it's ok to do this or that". when according to God, it isn't.

Yeah I agree you, there is no way you can change anybody, only God can do that. It all depends on whether there will come a time where they will be just open enough to receive an infusion of grace, whether that comes via a shock in their lives, some kind of massive spiritual awakening or what I don't know. Perhaps a seed that was planted a long time ago that starts to grow. Hey I know of a guy that got baptised at 104 years of age <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> lol, all his life he'd never been a Christian and then at this age he converts.

I find that sometimes in certain people that you bring up an issue that is religious or pertains to morality and suddenly they can erupt in a kind of viciousness or cold indifference. It can be quite a shock, even if you do it gently without being judgemental. It's interesting to see, but not something I enjoy and it almost always winds up nasty.

Yeah, I've struggled with the Harry Potter thing for sometime. I am not happy about it anymore. I see that apparently the lady who wrote these, included quite a bit of reality regarding the witchcraft. And also during an interview (apparently) referred to Christ as the idiotic son of God. Basically referring to Him as "defeated". I don't know how true this is, but I was floored by what I read.

Yeah I will toss the book. I don't read it anyway.

I remember when I was coming closer to God (age 23), Dad had bought me a book on angels (real life experiences / testimonies) and just reading that book was a big part of me getting closer to the God I had been quite distant from most of my life. In fact, around this time was when the presence in my bedroom withdrew finally (after me feeling I was being choked by something). This is the first time I did not experience fear and felt instead peace as the presence finally withdrew. That's when my bedroom became a place I could finally sleep in and I had not had that in years. I think it was because I was making a genuine journey towards God, rather than just crying out when I was previously afraid or distressed.
