Appealing to someone who is actually alive and has been a part of this world for some years means more to me than someone who has not even been born yet and may still be microscopic in size.

Someone who is "actually alive", is only "actually alive" because they were carried full term through pregnancy without accident or deliberate termination. Think about that.

If you want to argue against abortions of late pregnancies, that's a whole different ball park. Besides, you'd be preaching to the choir in that regard.

But you haven't said WHY appealing to the unborn is more important than the living. Because I place a lot more value on the former over the latter.

Both are living and equal in their right to life. Whether the unborn dies during pregnancy by natural means does not remove the fact it was human and alive. A fully grown adult, or a growing unborn child are no less in dignity or in their right to life.

I'd be curious to hear what you base your arguments on - unless they are all biblical in origin, in which case please don't share them with me. I'm not interested in bible thumping, as religion has absolutely nothing to do with this argument, regardless of which side one is on

The woman wouldn't be alive to have an abortion if she had been aborted herself . Whether microscopic in size or ready to be birthed, the baby is a human life. Please read my posts, I have already answered what you have mentioned here.

whether you don't wish to hear about any reasons for my value on human life being related to God or not related to God is not of interest. Nor am I about appealing to fragile sensitivites or ego. This is about human life, not about anger issues with Christianity.

People here are debating pretty well in retrospect that we all are of differing belief systems. It is about the value of human life. Do you value YOUR life? If so, why should an unborn child not have the the life that you and I were given?

I read my bible I don't thump it

Religion has barely made mention into this argument until you continue to make those kinds of statements. You seem to be encouraging the argument to head in the very direction you're apparently trying to avoid.
