I do agree with much of what that web page says, however, there are some real-poor over simplifications.
Our primary food should not be fruit. This is true for many reasons. Generally speaking, it should be vegetables. If you're an "O" blood type, you should include more protein in your diet than "A" types.
If you have heavy metals in your body (many or most do), this changes the game considerably and can also cause constipation and changes dietary requirements considerably.
...and even promotes falling a sleep, to eat a piece of sweet fruit (or something else sweet) just before you go to bed. (see site13) This only contains sufficient energy to last for half an hour, and the burning of body-fat does not start immediately
Problem with this is that it works in a perfect world and only with certain blood types. If you add other factors into the mix (which affect most people) the story becomes quite different.
Following this advice could ruin the sleep for many people. It's oversimplified.
Vegetables contain little protein and therefore little mutagenic HCA when prepared, but they generally do contain much nitrate which enhances origination of carcinogenic N-nitroso-compounds. And even those few mutagenics can still cause cancer. Excessive fiber can also cause colon cancer, because repeatedly inflicting wounds upon the colon does.
Again, this is an oversimplification. Vegetables affect body pH which affects cancer profoundly. There are also immune reactions to consider, etc. There is a lot more to it than this than the author is saying.
Like everything else, there is no "silver bullet", including the need for fiber. Success comes in balance and moderation and in finding the actual cause of a specific personal problem. Constipation has a myriad of causes.
Concerning balance and moderation: Oxygen is harmful alone but in the presence of vitamin E, it's beneficial.
somehow, supplementary iron can also cause constipation
This is true
only if the iron is elemental (not organic).
Take a bowl full of "Total" cereal, crush it up and run a magnet over it. You well see a mist of "food-grade"
elemental iron filings cling to the magnet (I've done it). This is sold to the public as "nutrition".
Again, the information on that web page is not complete and not entirely accurate.
Consuming egg yolks can be harmful for mercury-toxic people (a large percentage of Americans are) and can actually cause constipation because of the interaction between sulfur in the yolk and mercury.
There is both good and bad information on the Internet. Discerning it is an art. Keep up the research. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
