Hi Gloria,
Well, I don't think I had liver problems before, but I think the good eating has obviously had resuls in that area for the doctor/nurse to even comment. Usually if it's "so so", they don't make much comment. But both times when eating properly, I've had good feedback.
Unfortunately for me, I suffer chronic illness these days because of internal infections. I used to be very mercury toxic and was healing from that, but got hit with virus and I believe other infections (possibly cavitations in the jaw).
So I am ill everyday. The most I can gain is if I stick to the right diet, sometimes it can control the symptoms a bit more and allow some better functioning. But one wrong move and I'm down for the count. It is devastating.
But certainly my good eating has shown good results on blood testing. However, the ongoing issues inside of me are much greater than what diet can address unfortunately. One doctor feels there is gangrene in the jaw. But xrays do not show up much, if anything and dentists/oral surgeons are reluctant to do any work. Most here do not do cavitation surgery anyway.
This gangrene in the jaw is caused by tooth extraction. Most times dentists/oral surgeons remove the tooth, but they do not remove the ligament with it. The periodontal ligament is what was holding onto the tooth (a bit like an ambilical cord). Once the tooth has gone, there ligament has no further use and will die. Because of this? It hinders healthy bone growth in that area. So a hole is left in the jaw. Inside this hole, potent bacteria can gather.
Now this can happen in many people and only some may show symptoms or even systemtic chronic illness can result. It depends on whether the body is keeping the infection localised and not allowing it to go further, or whether the body's defenses are down and infection then spreads and becomes systemic.
If that is the case? the illness that results from this is worse than mercury poisoning. It can almost totally cripple a person. One guy ended up in a wheelchair. I am sitting down most of hte time because walking around is very tiring for me and I have chronic problems in the gut (which the doc thinks is related to the gangrene).
Again I have no clear answers, just possibilities. Certainly no matter how much effort I make, usually I will fall back again because the underlying issue is obviously serious and permanent. This along with the virus I have is not allowing my immunity to assert itself. Therefore yeast is a constant battle and usually it wins because the other stuff happening inside of me is not allowing me to win against the yeast, or win for very long.
Anyway, sorry for diverting! Back to what you were saying.
Your poor sister! She sounds horribly sick. I wonder what diet she is on? Sometimes what is thought of as healthy, may not be as healthy as we think. I find that candida is involved in so many disorders that it's own toxins poison the liver! So if she has a problem already, any yeast overgrowth will be compounding the issue.
Yeast alcohols are dreadful. The way to fight yeast is not so much outright KILLING it, because there are plenty of products that will do this. But it's not actually adressing the issue. It's a temporary measure. The way is to starve it, so that it cannot feed properly and build the immune system by nutrients/good foods and fats.
She would do well to avoid all sugar in every form (even honey and limit or eliminate fruit intake). Avoid gluten grains (wheat, oats, rye, barley etc). She made need to avoid all grains, because grains are high in carbohydrates and yeast can feed off them too. That goes for potatoes, beans, corn, peas etc. Any food high in carbs should be avoided/limited.
And concentrate on other lower carb vegetables (raw if possible in salads). Pretty much what I'm eating like meats and eggs, organ meats (liver). Healthy fats that Dr weston price recommends like butter, lard, (even eating the fat with the meat) and fish oil (mercury free). These fats help heal. Raw nuts if she is ok with them and acidophilus plain sugar free yoghurt. Herbal teas. Squeezing lemon and having lemon with warm water. Replacing table salt with celtic sea salt.
If she does this, and keeps it up, she should get a reaction if she has a yeast problem going on. because if some of this is candida related? It will begin to get sick and die off. She may feel worse for a few weeks. But it's worth seeing it through because improvement is so often noted at the end of it.
But apart from that? I do not know enough about what she has to comment much further. Someone with much more knowledge than me would be more helpful. One lady on a candida forum may help. Here is her website and down below on that page is also a link to her forum group, should you wish to ask a question on there to her directly.
http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/I would really encourage you to read the articles on that link. And check out diseases and disorders. She has one about diabetes too -
http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu4_3_4.phpHer diet is excellent, but I modify it for me because I find it a bit too extreme. She doesn't even allow raw nuts or yoghurt intially. But some people start on a modified version for awhile to help them adjust. The reactions from it can be enough to tolerate at the start.
I wish I could be more of help. But no matter what condition the person suffers from? This diet is actually to build the immunity and help the body heal, so it can overcome or at least control some of the problems going on.
