My illness came on suddenly, after a trip to the dentist, when she removed a filling without taking any precautions, and did a root canal. I felt 'wrong' almost straight away, but it wasn't until my stomach fell apart a few weeks later that I realised it was for real and not in my head. I have been sick ever since - that was three and a half years ago. Still debilitated, all hormones out of whack, probably on adrenal and thyroid meds for life, unsociable, watching others live their lives, enjoy their food and drink.
