Did everyone have a "stress" trigger for their symptoms like me? Mine came on suddenly (both times). This last time I was under severe stress.
I must have had the mercury in my body, somehow the stress did something that brought on the symptoms. (HPA dysfunction, methylation impairment, who knows?)

Yeah, I have heard this too. Or some other problem like some sickness coming on and then plunging the person down enough to where the mercury already in them, then tends to keep them down and begins to cause chronic poisoning symptoms.
One guy I know of, had something wrong with his stomach (from an accident) and that's when he became mercury toxic. No doubt the mercury was already there, but he may not have been as suseptible to it. Once he was brought down low enough by other means, he then became chronically mercury poisoned and had all the symptoms. So he then had to get his amalgams replaced and had to chelate.
physical/emotional stress can do it. My trigger was getting braces on my teeth at age 15. That was it, all the fighting my body had previously been doing with the mercury couldn't cope anymore and I was down and stayed down.
This is why I think diet is important because it can give the body at least "one" avenue it can lean on to handle better the stresses of other illnesses and toxicities. Candida is an opportunist and makes a bad situation even worse in my opinion. So it was something i was able to grab onto and stabilise and improve my situation more.
My symptoms also worsen during stress and seem to cause a movement of toxins at the sametime.

My body hit a figurative 'brick wall' about a year and a half ago. I've been partially chronic fatigued for most of my life (along with other symptoms) - then all of a sudden my body just gets stressed out to 'something' - my muscles all tighten and spasm for no reason what so ever. I got terrible gastritis for hours on end - doctors couldn't find the problem and wanted to put me on losec for the rest of my life.
I did my own research and found out my body was stressing out to different foods - wheat (and a few other related grains), dairy, eggs, peanuts, sesame seeds, garlic. I cut them all out - cold turkey, and I've been getting better ever since
Now I'm onto removing my amalgams after a newer discovery - but I'll novelise it for you when I have more time

My illness came on suddenly, after a trip to the dentist, when she removed a filling without taking any precautions, and did a root canal. I felt 'wrong' almost straight away, but it wasn't until my stomach fell apart a few weeks later that I realised it was for real and not in my head. I have been sick ever since - that was three and a half years ago. Still debilitated, all hormones out of whack, probably on adrenal and thyroid meds for life, unsociable, watching others live their lives, enjoy their food and drink. Some trip to the dentist....
Yep, I am feeling sorry for myself today...

I hit a brick wall 3.5 years ago. I went out clubbing again. all-nighter. Got home at 9am. Completely partied out, totally drained. I got bronchitis and coughed and coughed until all my muscles all over my body became rock hard with the tension. And…….the muscles did not relax or go back to normal. After a year I was still basically a walking plank of wood. I never fully recovered from that party, it wasn’t even particularly hardcore….just it was a step too far. I pushed my poor old body too much and it refused to recover.
Bloody miserable time that was.

HI Nicola, this sounds exactly like what happened to me. Admittedly I already had a serious viral infection, which did a heck of a lot of damage to me (and continues to do so), but I went to a dentist in early 2004 and had my bottom left wisdom tooth out....well I don't know what happened, but that finished me.
I have never recovered. four years now. So whether it was that, or just the last straw for my system I don't know. Now I"m a chronic mess and efforts I make have little impact these days.
ONe doctor reckons he detects gangrene in that area (jaw) from his voll (EAV) testing, but nothing conclusive shows up on xrays or bone scan...
So it's a mystery for sure. Im' sure I have cavitations and some did show up admittedly but they were OLD ones and I was never sick until this new wisdom tooth was removed. So that doesn't make much sense to me at all.
So I'm with you in watching others live their lives and eating and drinking pretty much, whilst I'm making big efforts with little to no results. Used to get good results once, but now I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse....
I know there is an underlying problem that is blocking a normal healing process and it's been there since virus and wisdom tooth removal....
This time around I had recent dental work done to replace ageing composites with porcelain and now I'm wiped out and I suspect toxic by-products from the local anaesthetic. I was in there for hours and had quite a bit of anaesthetic as I don't get numb easy....so who knows what that did as well.
I feel like drugged. I've had drugged sleeps and drooling. I'm not even in a home yet either.

I believe I have had symptoms all my life here and there but 13 years ago I was pregnant with my last child and my mother had cancer and died when I was 6 months along. My dad and I were the ones that took care of her until the end. After that I went slowly down hill until 6 years ago and had 4 of the fillings out. I came back a little after about a year and money was short so could not finish removal. That was a really stupid move it has costed me more now than if I would have just finished the job. Anyways I was doing ok(I never had total muscle control back and I still had the fatigue at times) until my work picked up big time and menopause came on and down I went again. A year ago I found out I had h-pylori and did not even connect the problem to my last 4 fillings until one day at my sisters house we just happened upon the smoking tooth video. DUH!!! I was just so sick and could not see it. And I hadn't done any research on the amalgams in like 4 years. There is alot more info now. So now everyday is a struggle as all of you know and hopefully one day we will all be a whole lot better!

although i have been sick all my life, in 2005 my life changed overnight. i just finished a course of antibiotics for bladder infection when i came over all weird, my vision went blurred and distorted and i lost my balance, i stayed in bed for weeks on end unable to do anything for myself or my kids. i had every test known to the NHS but nothing showed only high blood sugar. i read online that it could be candida so i immedietly changed my diet and have stayed that way since. at the time i was under a huge amount of stress from my partner,(domestic issues) so i think it bought it on. since then i learned from sandi about mercury toxicity and got my fillings done slowly but becoming more ill each time thinking it was my body detoxing but actually it was because my stupid dentist only used limited precautions, now im still ill and trying to recover.
