according to andy cutler that if you use dmsa and ala every 3-4 hours you will remove about .5% to 1% of mercury every day chelation is used , he also said that 70 days of chelation will remove about 50% of mercury from the body , I have done 3 days on and 4 days off ,23 days of chelation total so far ,so I have removed about 11% of body mercury so far ,does this sound about right ?

I think that sounds about right as that's what I thought Cutler meant also.

"he also said that 70 days of chelation will remove about 50% of mercury from the body"
That assumes 1% a day is removed. If only half a percent a day is removed, then after 70 days only around 30% would have been removed. 23 days of removing half a percent a day works out to around 11%. At one percent a day it would be around 21%.

how does andy figure these numbers since everyone is poisoned to a diffferent extent (hence differences in body burden) and uses different doses of chelation?

I'm not sure if the average dose is 50 mg each of dmsa and ala he talks about that dose alot in the book that is pretty high for most toxic people ? I am only using 25 mg of each and that is barly tolerable right now . that is why i calculated on the low end

I'm questioning this too because yes different people chelate with different agents, and use different doses; and for sure, we're all individual and we absorb and eliminate mercury at our own rates. It would be nice to aim for a percentage but I can't see how this would be possible, especially with the general lack of studies available in this area. These figures also mean that a large fraction of my mercury should be gone. I'll tell you what, I don't feel it.
