finally I've found a decent forum for people with this terrible mercury "blight" that we suffer from. My story is probabaly not as bad as some of urs as I am only 20, but ever since I've had mercury fillings in my mouth since the age of 5, I've certainly had most if not all of the terrible nasty symptoms that all of you have described, especially the most nasty of them all, the mental symptoms. I guess once I reached my teenage years everything spun outta control, and all symptoms hightened 10 fold. My main concerns were mental symptoms of extreme anxiety, mainly of the social kind, and also others which I now realise I suffered from including ocd, extreme depression and possible ADD, also not being able to concentrate at all (I'm suprised I got through school with the good marks that I got). Also I developed another major problem which was non-existent in my pre-teenage years: acne. I probably had the worst case at my school. In a persuit to get rid of this problem I went on antibiotics by orders from my dermotoligist. This worked for a while but then I suddenly got much worse, which I realise now is very candida and leaky gut related. After this, at the age of about 17, I went on accutane, which I gotta tell u was hell and has taken a significant toll on my body, both mentally and physically. I went on it for 3 months and then quit as my skin was much better, however after stopping it I was a wreck. My immune system seemed to be non-existant, I developed very very undesirable thought patterns, extreme depression anxiety, an extreme brain fog, I constantly felt like i was in some sort of dream land, I virtually hada break down. O and probaly worst of all was that I developed constant panic attacks which were so frightening that I became very withdrawn from the world. This story has a upside however. After months of suffering endlessly in desperation I began to research what was wrong with me, as docters only told me what I didn't want to hear "its all in your head", originally I thought it was only candida and leaky gut that were the problems, which I treated and had much success in reducing symptoms, however I finally found the true source: mercury. I've used countless products in my persuit to become better, and many have helped significantly and have allowed me to become a functional person once more.

So thats the short version of my story, now to give you an idea of what I have used. Ok so my main arsenal against the candida was 3-lac which i used for about 3 months and helped greatly. Also another product which i think has helped tremendously with all my health woes is noni juice, this stuff is great. Ok as for the whole mercury toxicity thing I've mainly been using a product by renew life called "heavy metal cleanse". This has gradually brought me back to better health. It contains a lot of the vitamins, nutrients, minerals and herbs which will greatly help the detox process. Other than this I take msm which does mobilise the mercury so I only use it in conjunction with the heavy metal cleanse. MSM has helped my skin greatly and controls breakouts very well. I also take fiber, whey protein and products for the anxiety and depression I experience. Also I have been using magnetic bentonite clay baths which draw the toxins out of your pores through the skin, which do work!

I'm feeling quite good at he moment, and am generally healthy. However my main concerns are still the anxiety which is mainly social, of which I just can't stand and of which I am hoping will fade in the upcoming months of my detox process. I still get times of brainfogginess and other bizarre mental symptoms but they come and go of which I attribute to the detox process. I do believe this can be beaten with the right approach however it does take time and significant effort!

I forgot to mention that my fillings came out with my baby teeth so I didn't need to get them removed

Good to have you here! You have quite a story and sounds like you have grown up fast in order to deal with the hell mercury put you through.

Glad to hear you're better. Sounds like you did your homework too. That's excellent.

Let me speak to your concerns about the emotional side of mercury recovery.

I had all my amalgams out in July of 2000. My business partner did too. Our lives have changed dramatically.

But now for the interesting part.

I have been a people watcher all my life. I love to get into people's minds and really understand what make them work. I also have studied myself for most of my life (since I was a kid; I'm now 40). Here's what I've concluded about mercury.

Mercury causes the following emotional symptoms:

- shyness
- depression
- social withdrawal
- anxity
- panic attacks
- an apologetic attitude
- predefensiveness
- outbursts of anger
- emotionalism (overreacting or judging truth by emotions)
- "brain fog" and difficulty concentrating
- suicidal thoughts
- madness (acting perverse or controversial)
(like the people on the "jackass" show that used to be on MTV.)
- emotional detachment
- feeling overwhelmed
- feeling hyperactive
- helplessness
- commitaphobia (trouble making commitments)
- easily annoyed by noise
- easily annoyed by flashing lights
- emotional infatuation
- feeling out of control of life
- apathy

I'm sure there are more but I experienced many of these above.

It's also worth mentioning that my memory is absolutely amazing. I have always had a horrible memory, especially when it comes to peoples names. Not anymore. My memory is many times better than it ever has been. I cannot explain how dramatic this is and how positively it affects my life.

Mercury can be associated with every major disease today. It can also be associated with countless non-major diseases, including ones we've come to accept as inevitable, like alzheimer's, diabetes, MS, numerous autoimmune diseases and neurological diseases as well. The mercury issue (particularly from fillings and vaccines) is quite possibly the largest man-made health disaster?in terms of disease and human death?in history.

In fact, if you think about it soberly for a minute, I believe most people would have the realization that the American Dental Association (ADA) are very likely the most notorious terrorists in the world if you consider the massive scope of the damage, disease and death they've caused and that they continue?to this day?defending and even promoting the use of mercury-based fillings.

For very good reasons, I call mercury, "The health issue of the next decade."

I know of so many people who have suffered their whole lives only to find that mercury was the cause. Amazingly, the vast majority still don't know about the mercury problem and go from doctor to doctor, year after year seeking answers and taking drug after drug. It's very sad.
