Jinx, I know. While I've known about the situation (hospice and everything) for awhile, just seeing this info in writing like this . . . well, I just can't stop weeping. Poor Sandi. It's just not fair.

She's suspected that she had ovarian cancer for a couple of years before she got diagnosed. Her doctors refused to believe her and order the necessary tests. Nine months before she finally got diagnosed, she again demanded her doctor to order tests for ovarian cancer. She could feel growths in her pelvic region and so could the doctor. The doctor just blew her off and told her that it was nothing and refused to order tests.

I'm mad as hell for her. And I'm frustrated.

So, the best we can do for her is pray that her suffering will be relieved and that she will feel peace, love and support during this horrifying time.

p.s. Sorry, I made a typo up there. Sandi had symptoms of ovarian cancer for four years prior to diagnosis -- not two years prior. The only reason she got diagnosed was that she ended up in severe pain and had horrific bloating and went to the ER. Even there they wanted to send her home and do nothing. She refused to leave the ER and demanded a CT scan and blood work. That's how she got diagnosed.
