I just wanted to report that I noticeed that when I upped my vitamin c to 2000mg per day that my symptoms have greatly decreased and my energy level has greatly increased. My anxiety level has gone way down and I generally feel alot better. I am also taking vitamin E along with the c. I am going to have my fillings removed properly next month hopefully. I also plan on taking align after removal and start to detox slowly. It has only been about a week or a little less since I up the dose of c but I realy feel good. I hope it lasts.

Read up and go to bowel tolerance, which has been the biggest help to my adrenal fatigue. Adrenal fatigue was caused either by nickel (confirmed) or mercury unconfirmed.

Bill,
That's great. Vitamin C and vitamin E w/selenium are both very, very important for combating the effects of mercury poisoning. Increased energy and decreased anxiety are exactly what could be expected. Plus, the adrenals are nearly always affected by mercury, which is one of the reasons for fatigue (along with low thyroid function).

Hi Bill,
Are you taking a specific brand of vitamin C or just a regular one? Just wondering if I need to up the dose as well, or get a different one.
Thanks, Nina

IN REGAURDS TO YOUR QUESTION ABOUT THE BRAND. IT IS NO PARTICULAR BRAND JUST A NORMAL VITAMIN C I BOUGHT AT ANY WAL-MART OR GROCERY STORE. I PROBABLY NEED TO BUY SOME FROM GNC OR VITAMIN STORE WHEN I RUN OUT BUT FOR NOW THE ONES I AM TAKING NOW ARE HELPING.

I noticed I am feeling better from taking the vit c. Before I started taking it, I could hardly get through the day without glucosamine, which helped with ache in my limbs, but since taking the vit c I haven't really needed it.
I did 10,000 words typing this week and normally that would have left me very sore.
I'm going to try vit e now aswell and see how I feel. My Dad is thinking of trying it aswell as he's a smoker and I believe it helps to protect the body a little with that.

I would recommend getting a vitamin C that contains bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids enable vitamin C to work and make it much more effective. Vitamin C and bioflavonoids often (or usually) occur together in nature.

Actually, the brand definitely makes a difference. A lot of "cheaper" brands of vitamin C contain sugar, artificial flavors/colors, starch, etc. Not to mention the fact that in my experience, these cheaper brands have no effect on me. I actually went through an entire bottle of 1,000mg Vitamin C from a well-known store brand years ago when I was battling a very bad cold. Nothing happened at all. So, I ordered a bottle of Citrus Bioflavonoids and in less than 24 hours, my cold was completely gone. I've had many friends and customers tell me similar stories when they switched to using NSP products. The quality, purity and potency of a product makes ALL the difference in the world. This goes for any type of herbal, vitamin or mineral supplement. For example, with herbs, different parts of the plant may have different effects or may be of no effect at all. So although different companies may sell a product by the same name, the product itself may have little to no effect based on what's in it (or what's not in it). This is why it's so important to get "quality" products. Plus, you don't want to have to worry about pesticide residues, heavy metal contaminants, artificial ingredients, carcinogenic dyes, etc. Think about it...you wouldn't buy the cheapest, watered-down gasoline for your car, right? Isn't your body even more important? Whether you switch to Nature's Sunshine products or not, I urge everyone to get your supplements from a company that invests in making high-quality products, and preferably (considering we all have mercury poisoning) from a company that adheres to California's Proposition 65 (the strictest manufacturing regulations in the U.S. for heavy metal contaminants in products).

Thanks, I will get the bioflavonoids with it when I get a new bottle (this was one quite expensive, so I'll use it up first <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />).
The vit c has definitely made a difference. I had to take glucosamine today, but that's because I heavily used the computer. I don't know why exactly it helps, but it's recommended for RSI and it does help me. If I don't take it, I am much more suseptible to pains and ache and tingle in my leg.
It's a little early to say if the vit e is helping, but for some reason, my vision seems a little clearer i.e. my glasses feel "strong" and I can see things sharper.

I've heard from many people over the years that vision changes (usually gets better, occasionally gets worse) during detox. Mercury really plays havoc with the eyes. An organic carrot a day would be helpful (vitamin A, etc.).

What does the ratio of vit c to bioflavonoids have to be? I've seen a bioflavooids 500mg supplement and was thinking of taking that with my vit c supplement, which is also 500mg. Does the vit c have to be greater?
