Hi Sunshine

thanks for asking on my behalf, and his reply certainly brought a smile to my lips. I have approached my problems very much in the Andy Cutler way - adrenals are damaged so support them with HC, keep the candida at bay with the candida diet (high protein - meat, vegetables, eggs - low carbs - non-starchy vegetables), whilst chelating (currently 30th round of DMSA - ALA not in sight yet until body burden reduced).

Having spent two years on this diet (ie avoiding sugar of all kinds), I can't bring myself to eat honey - not even the raw kind. How would eating honey make me more alkaline?

Frankly, I honestly can't see me getting off the adrenal support ever. I have always been a Type A person, and before my adrenals blew, I was incredibly stressed bringing up three young children essentially single-handed in a foreign country. This, and over-exercising (to gain some sense of control), plus the fact that I can recall signs of adrenal fatigue back in my teens, leads me to think that I have Addisons, which is non-curable. In any case, I shall be taking adrenal support for the time it takes me to chelate, which will be years in my case. By then I think my adrenals will have died anyway.

I may try building up with Epsom Salts. I read somewhere that some autistic kids become very hyper after an ES bath. This could be because the relevant sulphate receptors on the cells have got so used to functioning at a low level, their receptivity is turned up to LOUD. So when you give them a big dose in an ES bath, it is literally like an over dose - hence the problems. This could be what is happening to me. Maybe I need to start low and slow, and build up - a bit like chelation then.

I am sure I am very acidic - despite eating lots of vegetables and juicing - I think this is due to the mercury, and this is why my body and hair calcium is so high. Apparently the calcium will come down when the mercury is reduced, and hopefully my blood sugar problems will resolve. I can only continue with the diet, keep supporting thryoid / adrenals and chelate, chelate, chelate, as Cutler recommends.

I feel I have come so far with Cutler now, that I shall continue with his chelation / treatment protocol. He got my trust when I read Amalgam Illness, and found out that all my symptoms, which the doctors told me were in my head, were due to amalgam illness. I was (am) a textbook, clearcut and severe case. I have lost three years of my life so far, but I hope for improvement.

It is amazing how approaches to illness are so different - I was also reading about Gerson therapy today, and don;t think my adrenals would cope with that either. Cutler's is admittedly very scientific and may not have all the answers. But I feel that I need to give his protocol the good 2-3 years he recommends.

thanks again for asking. I might have a wander over to the curezone and do some more reading....
