For the Mother of all detox baths use Himalayan rock salt. It is expensive. It is a very strong cleanse/detox and I would not start here. I do Epsom salt baths regular and this salt bath totally and utterly blew my socks off. It is very strong.

Apparently this bath should not be tried when people have kidney problems.

I can confirm that the detoxifying effect of this bath can be compared to a 3-day fast. It is very strong indeed. If you start to feel “strange” than means you should finish the bath.

I also do them as hot as I can take just like the Askmoreless baths above, including the cold shower at the end.

Bathing with Salt Crystal

Bathing with salt crystal is recommended for skin diseases, joint diseases, after operations, to strengthen the immune system and to detoxify the body.

To get the full benefit of a therapeutic natural salt bath, the right salt concentration is mandatory. The salt concentration has to be at least the same as the one of our body fluids (approximately 1%) to activate the osmotic exchange ratio. Since a full tub normally takes 27-32 gallons of water, you need to use at least 2.2 lbs. of natural salt. Also to maintain the detoxing effect after the first detox bath, 3 to 4 handfuls are effective. The water temperature should be as close to 97 degrees as possible. The bath should be 20 to 30 minutes long. During this time, the body reaches the same salt concentration inside and outside as the one that can be compared to the pre-natal state.

Through the salt bathing, minerals penetrate the skin in form of ions. The stimulation will cause natural cell growth in the living cell layers. Bio-energetic weak points will be balanced and the body’s own energy flow will be activated.

The natural regulating mechanism of the body, the so called homeostasis, is initiated. The detoxifying effect after the bathing can be compared to a 3-day fast. The salt is also a natural disinfectant. Observations have shown that the applications of the therapeutic natural salt bath have the best effect at the changes of the moon (at full moon: optimal assimilation; at new moon: optimal detoxification.)

The original salt bath suggestion came from the book, 'Water & Salt', as reported by Daisy4, here...

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=378721#i

The original salt advocated was authentic Himalayan crystal salt [in ONE PERCENT (1%) solution], and probably that from a certain area of the Himalayas.

I, at first, hesitated on using the 'Himalayan crystal salt' I had purchased because I was uncertain of its true origin.

Eventually I used it in a footbath, because someone suggested it would help with 'grounding' and I also felt it might help with edema on the tops of my feet.

That footbath worked like gangbusters...not only to reduce the edema, but, soon after, I noticed that all anxiety was gone, vanished. I knew that 'bad' things could still happen, but I no longer was afraid...quite the opposite. I was calm and thoughtful, and no longer felt my usual 'worry'.

In the Liver Flush Forum , Telman wrote about the mechanics that may govern Osmosis, the passage of mineral salts, in water, through the skin, in either direction.

I know very little about this subject, but suppose this is why the authors of the book, 'Water & Salt', suggest a ONE PERCENT (1%) solution of the finest Himalayan crystal salt.

If you wish to try this procedure, PLEASE read on the subject thoroughly, and experiment ONLY using your own best judgement.

(Personally, I imagine that it would be best to stick to concentrations no stronger in minerals than sea water, human tears, or amniotic fluid, the fluid around babies before birth.)

Fledgling

As I said up top, do not start on these salt baths….they are very strong and caution is needed.

Saying all that, even with the warnings…..they are wonderful baths…..oh yes.

I just got delivered 25kg of epsom salts and 3 kg of Himalayan rock salt. The 3kg salt cost more than the 25kg of Epsom salts.
