hi everyone. i hope it is ok i post here about things i go through and ask about them to see if others relate. i just don't have anyone else to talk about this with.

first off, how many of you are really emotionally sensitive? like getting hurt really easy emotionally and hypersensitive and aware to danger and people hurting you? i dont know if this has a lot to do with the metals and copper or if it is just me. i've been that way forever and i've had metals forever so i guess i'm scared i'm gonna be this way forever. i do know that from the info i read about copper toxicity that high copper people are really sensitive and emotional people but its hard for me to believe that i am not so sensitive when i'm healthy cuz i've felt this way my whole life.

if someone reading this can relate, could you tell me how mercury or copper affected your relationships like boyfriend/girlfriends etc? i'm being kinda personal here but my intuition tells me i was too sick to have the relationshiops i did. has anyone else had unhealthy relationshiops because they were too sick, fatigued, mental(just feeling detached and not like yourself), depressed, etc etc? also, did anyone get hurt becaues they felt codependent and needy etc etc? i hope i'm making since and haven't asked too many questions.

i guess i've just had a lot of time to look at my life and my relationships. like my self-esteem is gone. there really isn't any and there never really was any. i had scholarships to play baseball and was successful and nothing ever made me happy and i'm worse now than i was. i'm scared. i'm scared this is the real me and i could never have a family or be stable feeling like this. i could never be a man in this world. i don't really have love for myself. i think that has a lot to do with my horrible parents maybe.

Yes, I can relate very much.

I have been emotionally sensitive all my life. As a kid I used to cry for nothing, was very fearful etc.

And the relationships well.. I havent had much of those because of this condition. When I had something, I was always totally crushed when I saw that it was not going to work. In fact, when I met someone I liked, I got very anxious in the beginning because deep inside of me I knew that I cant do this! Like you said, I knew that I was too "sick" to have a relationship, I was afraid of the commitment and thought that I couldnt handle the "stress". Now I dont even dream about any relationships anymore - til I get better.

hi shawn : you have just decribed 70 percent of the population, you are not a alone , there are many of us out there ,you probablly know a few them , looking back in my life most of the people that I have known have been in the same boat .

some of them are able to hide it better than others while others are very up front with it , those are the people that will heal alot quicker than the rest because they realalize that something is wrong , I know now that I was showing signs of heavy metal poisoning as far back as 15 years old , I had 12 amalgams placed when I was 14 years old , hind sight is 20/20

when I joined the military back in the early 80's I started showing alot of the symtoms , very high anxiety , mild depression off and on ,social anxiety , low self esteem , shyness and felt pissed off all the time

I used to self medicate with alcohol which was a temporary fix

it has gotten worse within the last 5 years with alot of the classic symtoms surfacing

since having amalgams removed , I feel my personality changing , I am much more at ease and calm shyness is not as bad, I can be around crowds again ,the anxiety is almost gone , and have not felt angry in a long time , I am finally healing

Hi Shawn, a big YES to your post in agreement. Wow! Emotional sensitivity? In fact, Andrew Cutler mentions men having this in a very big way with these toxins. I'll have to look that back up, but men tend to go this way, wheras women do too, but can become aggressive.

I am passive/aggressive. I swing between both. And so ridiculously defensive, that at times it borders on insane paranoia and I'm halfway aware of it, but feel unable to stop it. Overreaction to criticism or "perceived" insults, when they may have been quite innocent.

Relationships? I can't even tell you what a total and utter disaster this is. Either there is nobody at all, or if there is, I completely destroy it. And is it any wonder? I'm aware of what I'm like and I'd leave me too, but I know it's not the real me. So though I hate being alone, I cannot imagine it any other way unless I got well and became myself again. I'm also afraid of the opposite sex in respect that I don't have confidence in myself, dont' trust the illness, and scared they'll find out what I'm REALLY like with all my toxic behaviours, so I withdraw or I'm just too nervous anyway.
I can be indifferent, boring, withdrawn, hyped up and stupid, jealous, perceiving problems or creating them for no apparent reason, hateful, insecure, morbidly depressed, suicidal, insanely fearful, unresponsive or the opposite (I won't go into details) the list goes on. So I know I can't do this, not only to myself but to somebody else.

Mostly I've been alone. Been hard enough for members of my family, who probably only stuck around because of the family bond. But they know me well, know parts of the real me, and I know I don't have to really engage in conversation either or make efforts. So it saves me more agony I guess.

Zero self esteem yes! This I do believe is toxic, because it's amazing how much self esteem you would probably have if you were truly well. Though the background does not help if it's been damaging to that emotionally, but believe me, the strength that comes from health is incredible. My self esteem is pathetic. NO matter how much love and assurance my famiy gives me, it doesn't really penetrate. I just feel like "nothing". and that is that.

I think you would be very surprised at how you would be otherwise! You wouldn't know yourself. There were many things I seriously considered were just the way I was, but found out they were not. Even down to being kind of embarrassed about stuff, or fearful to go into a mall, I thought it was just "me". But wow, had a time when I must have had a real lift in health and these things were almost completely GONE. Your self esteem just rockets and you can't actually help it.

I think it's good to express this on here, because the forum is the most open I've been on and people will relate to this so much. It helps to hear it believe me. It's painful for you to have this, but in sharing it, it helps others.

Hi shawn, we are basically the same age and everything I've read that you've written I can realte to 100%, it sescribes me to a T.
As a child I was also very sensitive , very emetional, at school whenever there was a literature lesson talking about all those suicidal poets and artists I was thinking, gee sounds like me, I felt like I was sensitive to every little evil on world, every little injustice, the world was such a scary place to live in, with bad people all over I just shut myself off and became completely egoistic and selfish just to protects my vulrenalable "self". I felt like I was the only person in the world who felt this 'evil' and carried it's weight and couldn't understand how other people could just ignore it, and that got me into a judgemental mode etc etc So yeah depression, neurosis, anxiety was my middle name.

Relationships? Had almost none, as I had no self-esteem and was afraid of commitment plus felt so lonely and alienated I couldn't relate to other people so just it didn't make sense. So on one hand I was afraid to commit to a relationship at all and on the other I craved it so much because I wanted to hide somwhere like in the arms of a partner. So either way it was bad.

I was that my whole life and it all changed when at 22 I began treating candida and detoxing, also used some ALA not knowing of it's danger with having fillings in, but I think it helped back then to chelate some mercury out of my brain and emotionally I became a completely different person. It's like suddenly I felt well attuned to the world around me and knew how to interpet people without feeling insulated, my emotional intelligence made a HUGE LEAP, and honestly I became a completely different person. Sure there were still issues cause I wasn't well but the change was dramatic.

It's strange because right now a lot of the time I feel emotionally quite stable but I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing , because my brain is bascially in a coma and I dont register things emotionally anymore perhaps? I dunno, but I will tell you shawn, your problem is definetely metals and you need to get those f*ckers out of u and you have a GREAT chance of recovery.

Two things I would rteally suggest are: candida diet and coffee enemas. Despite my recent bad experience with enema, I still think they are a good thing, just dont be too agressive like I was. Coffee enemas dont work on me anymore as I am screwed up beyong comprehension probably, but they HELPED ME immensly over a year ago before I got severely poisoned at a dental office.

Andy cutler says that if u want to get rid of copper toxicity you have to chelate any mercury out as it causes other metals to be retained and get your liver working and bile flowing as copper is excreted through bile. So coffee enemas would be great for this. Of course inlude copper antagonists, zicn, selenium etc.

Hi Shawn…make sure you check out my hair tests on the other thread. I had high copper, but my tests show that I got it down. In under 3 months too.

Sunshine, despite getting your copper levels down, you can probably agree with me that that didn't help you much. Still many problems left, brain fog, mental problems etc.?

Gee I thought you were coming right along. LOL After seeing your hair test results this time I wonder if your copper level was also coming down on your last round of Dmsa? Maybe thats what made it so rough...hmm just a thought.

Well, you got your copper level down, right? You still have a lot of other problems to take care of, so one can assume that high copper didn't cause at least most of them? In that case, this applies perhaps to many others here too. Getting copper level down doesn't solve many problems, but is just an indication that things are going in the right direction?

i appreciate all of your posts and it makes me feel a lot better knowing i am not the only one. seriously, this group is all i have really.

pgm,

not sure if your motive was to kill the positive thread we had going here or what. my intuition tells me my main problem is copper being that i never had any fillings put in my mouth. my mom has high copper too and i fit the description of those symptoms more than mercury. so sunshine's purpose was to give me hope that i can possibly get those levels down.

Hi Shawn. No, my intention was not kill this thread, just wanted to know what Sunshine thinks about this matter.
My intuition on the other hand suggests that copper cannot be the cause of many problems here. It is often just an indication that things are wrong in your body, but it probably does not cause many symptoms. Although I'm not an expert on this issue, I recall most people get their copper levels down before they actually get well, even mentally.

to my understanding is that mercury and copper share the same symtoms which should be very good news to persons that only have to deal with copper alone,

as copper is much easier to deal with and reduce levels than mercury , if you have no amalgams , which is one less toxin to elliminate from the list of possibles , the problem with mercury poisoning is that in some people copper can be at high levels along with mecury and even if you lower the copper levels than they will still have to reduce the mercury levels before they start to feel better and eventually be cured alltogether

Skieslimit: My last round of DMSA was rough because I have been experimenting. The early rounds have not been easy, so I have to tinker a bit to get it right. The tinkering went wrong last weekend and yes it hurt like hell. But I learned a lot, I learned enough so that my next round was excellent. I have now found what I can and cannot handle when chelating. Everyone is different and it has taken me 5 rounds to find my ideal dose and my ideal cycle length. Phew!

Shawn: yes the purpose of my post was exactly that, positive encouragement that you can get copper levels down. I did. And that’s how I did it. I got my digestion working and added specific supplements as per Cutler.

PGM: It took me a long time to understand what amalgam illness actually meant to me and my body. That the mercury goes everywhere. Everywhere inside me is stuffed full of mercury. Some areas more than others, but nevertheless everywhere. That’s why Amalgam Illness is such a long book. It is full of ways to support all of my compromised organs. The detox protocol is piss easy. Take DMSA or DMPS and/or ALA in low doses for a long long time. Simple. You don’t need a long book to set out the protocol, but because everything in me is screwed, everything needs support, it is very difficult to know what/where/how and the book tells me how to do all that.
Everything I investigate about my body is compromised. Everything. I didn’t know anything about thyroids 2 months ago, I thought that was lady stuff!
Now that I know everything is screwed, I realise that no one thing will suddenly heal me. Sorting out my copper levels was never gonna cure me, everything needs sorting and that is gonna take time. But now I got one less thing to sort out.
Doing all the things I do to help myself is designed to get me better and allow me to continue working and having a family life. They are not designed to get my copper levels down from some lab test result.

I must say I could not disagree with your comment more.

Copper poisoning is a serious thing and it is one of the first things that one should go about sorting out. (the symptoms are the same as for mercury poisoning.) Which is why I addressed it and why I did hair tests so close together. It is very motivating for me to see the results of my labours reflected in the lab results,
(and I can add some for foods back into to my diet, hooray!)

I consider myself very very lucky to be healing and getting better, so many people (on this forum alone) are struggling badly and don’t know which way to turn. I am considerably better that I was. I am healing…..hallelujah! Sorting out my copper problem was just another step up my ladder to good health. At one point just sitting on the train to work was unbelievably painful. I had to sit on the train everyday and focus on not hurting. Everyday for 12 months, no reading newspapers, nor books or anything just focus on……. no pain. I have come a long long way from those nightmare days.

I assume everyone with mercury poisoning is the same as me….ie the mercury is everywhere, and everythings needs support…so the quicker people realise that, the quicker they can start taking actions and the quicker they can start getting better…

So no I disagree with yr comment. Everything little thing that I do …… helps.

Hmm, ok. Although you say you disagree with me, I can read from your post that you essentially still agree with me in that getting copper level down was just one step in the whole procedure, not a cure for everything.
Good luck with your healing SS. It's good to have people here who are getting better the whole time.

i think that has a lot to do with my horrible parents maybe.

I think you are probably right. Bad parenting can devastate a person's life, cause those self-esteem issues quite easily.

I let my parents go a bit late in life... about age 35 or so... I should have done it much sooner. It took me all those years to figure out that life was much better without them, in my case. Seeking or feeling the need to seek approval from parents who don't know how to love you, unconditionally or otherwise, is real a real hard situation. Some people luck out and get great parents, a lot of us don't though.

In my situation, I never relied on them much after the age of 18, but i still sought their approval. you have to let the whole gamut go and do what you feel is the right thing to do for yourself, even when they disagree. It's good to put space, miles, between you and them, maybe essential. I struggled a lot when i was younger because of it... it messed up my life for quite some time but only because I still sought their approval even though i never really needed it. I keep in touch, my dad anyway, my mom is deceased. But I don't let his opinion bother me anymore. it's better for both of us.

Just let them go in that sense and try to move forward.

Jesus has been a better friend, God a better father, than my parents ever were to me. He is always there. Seek him, you'll be glad you did. He reaches out mightily to hurting souls. Ask him to make you the man He wants you to be and you will be happier than you ever could have imagined.
