Hi Kriminal, in all my years struggling with candida, I've had differing results due to different circumstances. I used to be able to control candida much easier when I was not as ill. I only had to give up sugar and gluten grains. Pretty easy eh? I could still eat limited fruit, non gluten grains.

However, this time around it's been a real struggle and I have been going through a really painful process of what food does me harm and even some healthy foods can cause a relapse or worsening of my situation.

The best candida website I belong to advises only this - meats (chicken, beef, lamb, mutton, organ meats, etc), eggs, low carb vegetables (excluding the high carbs like potatoes, beans, peas, carrots, pumpkin, sweet corn), plenty of fats like butter, lard, fat on meat, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, mercury free fish oil. Also included with all the good low carb vegetables are tomatoes and lemons, which I can eat and be ok with.

however, I have slighlty varied mine and mine includes some raw nuts and seeds, acidophilus sugar free yoghurt, as well because quite frankly I do NOT handle eating meat permanently either. I usually have a lot of stir fry vegetables! and I eat a lot of eggs as well.

I have discovered this. The worst offenders (at least for me) are sugar, honey, grains, milk, cheese, luncheon meats of any kind (sausages), coffee, alcohol, potatoe chips, potatoes, corn, etc etc. If I steer clear of those, I can make "some" progress.

So it seems to be pretty individual and I doubt there is the ideal candida diet catalogue, but rather going as strict as you can without actually starving yourself. I consider the diet I have to be excellent as far as nutrients goes (blood test shows this too). But because of my ongoing infections etc, it makes it very tough and one tiny cheat, even on relatively good food can hurt me a great deal and for a long time.

I can only give you the diet that I seem "ok" on. I used to be able to eat some non gluten grain, but not right now. Frustrating as anything! At any rate, I would HIGHLY recommend joining this candida forum! On here, on the files and links, you will find so much abundant information on diet and foods, recipies, and just about everything that you really won't need to go anywhere else (at least I found that).

I'd join just to check out the files and links if I were you. The lady running it has studied this for YEARS and I'd consider her probably the best I've come across.

But in saying that, I do find the all meat, veg diet a little above me and a bit extreme....however if someone needs to do that? Then so be it. But it's not one I'd like to live on permanently and in fact she says other foods can be added later on as the person improves.
