Hi, yeah coconut oil is supposed to be an excellent fat to consume for candida. It is antifungal and antiviral apparenty. But it must be extra virgin organic coconut oil!

I LOVED eating it, but found it caused symptoms too much, which might have been good, but I didn't deal with it too well. Perhaps it was die off, but it just made me feel sick quite often.

But it's a very healthy fat to use, in cooking and eating as is. I may try it again sometime. I also find plain butter is excellent too and apparently another antifungal believe it or not. One of the best forums on candida, recommends both these fats for candida and for general healing. I don't know many people who can eat straight butter, but I can and I LOVE it. No weight gain, nothing. All the misinformation on fats being bad is just that, misinformation. Animal fats are the best thing for human consumption. Vegetable fats like canola oil etc are being found to be harmful. So much for the new age answers to health, which have done more harm than good.

I steer clear now of those types of oils (canola etc). I'm even having doubts about flaxseed oil...considering it's used in paint. I just don't know, but I stick to the good old fashioned fats that nourished our ancestors for centuries. And they really are healing. Before I started eating them, I had little to no appetite, dryer skin, underweight (or overweight, I've been both).

Good for mercury toxicity too, even Hal Huggins recommends butter! Stay away from margarine, it's not much better than melted down plastic.
