hi everyone. i'll try and briefly summarize my intro because my brain is fried. i'm 23 years old and my whole life i now realize i have suffered from copper toxicity and possibly mercury being in there too because of vaccines.

every single day starting in the 4th or 5th grade i have felt severe anxiety, mind racing, depression, brain fog and cognitive difficulties, extreme emotional sensitivity, emotionally blunted, really bad ocd until a couple years ago, many obsessions which have made it really hard for relationshiops, feeling like i am crazy, profound exhaustion, candida, adrenal fatigue, disconnected from the world and God, and many more.

a couple months ago i was hospitalized for depression and anxiety because of severe stress and being out of control of my life. i haven't been able to keep jobs despite trying 9-10 different very simplistic jobs. i just realized how i had no life and my relationships have never been good because of how sick i've always been. i just wanna be able to function and have healthy relationships and i'll be the happiest person in the world. just to feel whole for the first time would be really great.

i've stopped dreaming about my future. like i don't know if i can overcome this illness and i'm really scared. i used to dream about being an athlete and had scholarships to play baseball but the illness didn't allow me to get through college like i had hoped because of my brain malfunction and inability to deal with stress.

i don't mean to be negative but i really have suffered a lot i now realize. after learning about my family dynamics and some about my condition, my awareness is incredible but it makes me really sad realizing what i felt my whole life wasn't what normal people go through and i realize the severity of the anguish. but i know this isn't the real me and i've seen glimpses of the funny, positive, and loving person i am.

anyways, i do have hope and that is all i am living by right now. that's all i have. i was tested through hair mineral analysis because its cheap and effective way of screening body chemistry. my test showed i am very copper toxic and my metabolism is very slow. so slow that they called my copper toxicity "hidden." after learning and reading the info they gave me, its within normal range because my metabolism is so slow, no metals are being eliminated and if i can build energy, heavy metals and the copper will begin to go up on the hair tests showing they are coming out of deeply stored tissues.

this seems like the place for me because people are going through similar experiences. i hope to get some guidance and figure out a good protocal i can feel good about. i hope everyone is making improvements and i hope to meet some good people that can support me, guide me, and i can hopefully do the same in return. God bless.

Welcome Shawn,

I was 24 when my hair tests showed elevated metals, copper, lead, aluminium, mercury, tin, maybe others,I cannot remember,
but copper was nearly off the charts.
I don't actually know how I was not hospitalised at some point,I certainly was a candidate.I am now 28 but have only gone through the amalgam removal over the last couple of months. And so am still suffering symptoms...some days much better &some not so good but I have not had a really awful day in afew weeks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />which is great.

You mentioned that you have stopped dreaming of the future,
probably because you need to just take one day at a time for the moment anyway,
the best part is you are so young.
You are 23 ,you have found out that you have heavy metal toxicity and you have found this forum, and come to the right place for support &information on how to get yourself well,
so that's all positive.
You said you have hope too and that amounts to so much.

I feel I can completely understand when you said about seeing glimpses of the "real you",I could have written this myself,
I feel l have so much potential that I never reached so far in my life but I am hoping to get there someday.
And it's a challenge to be positive &feel patient all the time, especially if you've had a few good days followed by a
setback.
I try to think of these years as my cocoon years and I am going to emerge when I'm ready and will be stronger than ever.Being sick teaches you so much about what is important in life. When you are better you will appreciate all the things you could not enjoy before.
Welcome again.

Welcome Shawn. Good to have you.

Don't worry about sounding negative because we all know how difficult and prevalent mercury poisoning from vaccines, tattoos, amalgam ("silver") dental fillings and coal-burning power plants is. It really is hard to deal with.

Here is a link to my person story and some other resources that you may find helpful. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask. There are many helpful people here who are willing to offer help.

Cheers!

the biggest fear is failure. i simply don't know how to be my own doctor and there is soooo much information that conlicts and contradicts. i just don't know what to do. would everyone agree that the candida diet is the #1 certainty that everyone should do? a diet consisting of veggies and proteins?

i never had any fillings so i don't need to get them removed. but my toxicity is so severe i have been disabled my entire life. haven't been able to enjoy anything. it makes me cry thinking about it and i've gotten so much worse because of the prescription drugs i was given.

thinking of eating that food for years is very depressing to me. i crave spicy and sweet stuff. things that taste good. my appetite is pretty non-existant. im 6'3 and weigh 145 pounds. when i was 15, i weighed 165 pounds and was underweight then. because of my picky eating and no appetite, i am scared of failure. also, i don't really know what supps to buy. there are like thousands of different ones and i dont even have money. i have a disability hearing december 18 though and if i get it, i think i would get 640 bucks a month. do you guys think i could get what i need with that much money?

what are the staple things that people should do when they are heavy metal toxic?

Hi Shawn
Welcome to the forum. I know its hard to cope but just keep on going slowly. I know how hard it can be to try to figure it all out. Its easier to take it one day at a time.
I found out 6 years ago that my so called silver fillings were really mercury and I started removal then. I had 4 of them taken out and then the money became tight so I put the rest off for awhile. I was sick then and after the removal and a year or so was feeling much better and so I put it off. Big mistake because I ended up so much sicker than before. I didn't go to the doctor right away ...I was that scared. When I did go I went to a natural dr and they helped me figure out what supplements to take. I am still taking most of them now and doing very well with them. I have changed a few things after much education and the fact that the health food store I go to helps me alot. I have been going in there for a long time and they know all that is wrong with me and so they help me alot when I have questions. If they can't answer it they pull a big book out and give me a print out on it, real nice people. Education is the key to it all. I know you said you had no fillings so that is a plus. Yes trying to be your own dr is scary but when you think about how much the conventional dr's don't know, well that is scary in itself and at least you know what your body is doing. They won't even listen to you. I told a doctor I was having muscle problems and he checks me for cancer. He didn't even ask me how long and was walking out the door while I was still talking to him. He was a great help. Anyways you can do this, you just have to study like crazy and do what has to be done.
The candida diet is very important. When you have heavy metals the body will overgrow the yeast in an attempt to protect itself, as well as attract parasites. The yeast and the parasites will make you fell like crap alone and then put the heavy metals in to and well it makes you a sick sick person. It's very important to keep the yeast and the parasites down while you do the removal of the metals. I will start my third parasite cleanse in december and each time it gets a little better. I have done a yeast cleanse but was not strong enough at the time to keep going on it. I had h-pylori and my stomach was just not stout enough to give up all the stuff that I needed to get stronger. So after much reading I figured out there was other anti fungals I could take that would help hold it down as well as the diet.
Keep a food diary and that will help you figure out what foods you could be allergic to and what to eliminate. You will find that some of the foods you are eating will make you hurt worse and will even make you have cognitive problems. I started by eliminating as much as I could and then bringing one thing back at a time. I know within a few hours or the next day that I ate something I should not have. I still make mistakes sometimes but I am learning from those mistakes.
All I know is to take it one day at a time, one step at a time. You found the forum and there is alot of good info on here. Just keep reading and doing what you can. I wish you luck on the disibility and have thought about trying it myself but still hoping that in a year or so things will be better for me health wise. I have alot of viruses to fight too so I really don't know how difficult it could be around the corner. I know it's expensive and I don't know where the money has come from but God has made it happen. I pray alot and he hears me and listens when no one else will and he knows I am not crazy. LOL That is another reason I like this forum because there are others here like me and they don't think I am crazy. Well hang in there and my thoughts and prayers are with you. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliemachine.gif" alt="" />

Hi Shawn, I'm just new to the site too, and just starting on the journey. I am 60, and just look back at how much of my life could have been different. Even with a rapid cure, my time is limited to create a whole new career. So please don't put it off.
I too am unable to work now, and looking at different treatment options which may be very expensive. You will only be able to progress as fast as your money will take you. So start with what you can control. . . . your food.
Buy good quality fresh vegetables. If you are able to grow a few vegetables yourself, this can be a saving. Many vegetables can be grown in pots indoors, so you don't even need to go outside! Go to the health food shop and ask what sort of things you should be eating.
Then go to your library and look at some of the recipe books they have.
Stir-fry vegetables are quick and easy, and can be spiced up or flavoured a bit to suit your taste. Ask around for peoples' favourite recipes.
Don't be scared to play around with vegetables. Try different combinations, until you work out what you like or don't like. Garlic is always good to add, and you don't need to add so much that you can't taste anything else.
Grow your own bean sprouts. They are high in protein. You don't need a special sprouter. Get a large jam jar. add a level tablespoon of unsprouted beans. Cover top with any fabric which will allow water to strain through it without losing the seeds. A piece of an old CLEAN teatowel works well. Fasten to top of jar with string or an elastic band. Half fill jar with cold water and leave about 8 hours. Then drain. After this, twice a day, fill jar to half-way with cold water, rinse sprouts round gently, then empty water out through cloth. Once sprouts are big enough, remove top, empty sprouts into bowl of water and rinse well. Shake surplus water off and keep in fridge in airtight container, or sealed plastic bag. Sound complicated but once you have done it you will see that it is not really. This is really cheap healthy food, high in vegetable protein. Try small amounts of all the different ones available. Alfalfa, and mung beans are good to start with.
If you re-use your cloth cover, it is wise to boil it for 10 minutes to kill any bacteria.
Bean sprouts can be used with salads or stir fries.
You may not feellike eating much just now, but if you stop thinking of it as food, and think of it as medicine instead, which is going to help you get better, you might manage to keep trying. . . . . . . . . just small amounts at a time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yourmedicine.gif" alt="" />
Good luck.
And don't get discouraged if you do something "naughty". We are all human. Put it down to experience, and start again tomorrow.

DO NOT eat commercial grown big farm tomatoes. They are loaded with pesticides, nitrate fertilizers, possibly even mercury and cadmium the soil treaments. They are the worst thing I know of, aside from shellfish and tuna, that you can eat. I got pretty sick from one last month. I grow my own but summer was over so I bought a couple. And coffee, stay away from coffee.

Local grown or organic may be ok.

Tomatoes grow wonderfully in a 5 gallon bucket on the porch. Use organic garden soil in a bag or dig some dirt and mix it with sand. Tomatoes like just a tad of apple cider vingar every now and in their water. And a couple eggshells. Not sure about indoors, could attract bugs and stuff. You can buy some really neat hydroponic type pots to grow stuff on your porch... I've even seen an upside down hanging tomato planter that seems to give a pretty good harvest per plant.

Carol, the hulda clark liver cleanse will do wonders for you. be sure to do a parasite cleanse, even if mild, first.

Hi Shawn
I don't think I am but I think I have went and looked at it but I found this one so much more informative. I have also done so much research on my own that there was just not alot of time left. Between still trying to work part time and detoxing and resting my at times so weary body, well it's all so time consuming and overwhelming. Hang in there it will get better.

Dear Shawn,
Carol here again. JUst some more ideas of things that grow well in pots. Try chives and garlic chives. Both are easy to grow, and you just cut off what you want to use: they will keep on growing for some time. Just gow a small quantity at a time. Once one lot is growing well, start another lot growing. This way you will have a constant supply.
If you have a covered porch you may be able to make a mini glasshouse with some plastic and grow lettuce most of the year. Only grow the fancy lettuces which don't form a "heart". These lettuces can be used while they are growing, so you can remove a few leaves at a time as you want.
I haven't looked at them, but there are probably quite a few hydroponic kits available too.
Check out Jamie Oliver's books; he is really into his vegetables, and you might get some ideas. I haven't had a look yet but his website might be worth a visit.
Happy gardening
Carol
