Hi Dawn, I never understood that either. I assume people who get better right after amalgam removal and stay that way cannot have had much of a build up of mercury in their system and removing the source must have been enough....

Most of us have had the horrible "healing crisis" and one that can go on for a long time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> And yeah it does make sense for that to occur. If the body really wants to get serious about the poisoning the only way is for it to start excreting the stored poison once the source has been removed.
