Hi Mark, sorry to tell you, but this seems to be really common following last amalgam removal. So many people feel worse after the procedure.
But consider this. your system has been in a mode of trying to protect itself from the intake of mercury for years from amalgams. Apparently it does its best to store it in the safest places possible and excrete what it can. Eventually in those with poor elimination system, or weaker immunity or something else, they can eventually succumb and go under with symptoms of chronic toxicity.
When amalgams are completely removed, it's like turning off the tap. The source has 'gone", so imagine what that can do... the body no longer has a 24/7 source of mercury. For me it was almost a shock and I got worse intially, then seemed to go into a sort of remission of symptoms and then later I was hit with symptoms of repoisoning.
They were so bad, that I felt worse than the original condition and was besieged by metal toxic symptoms. This is known as the second phase of suffering by Andrew Cutler (expert in mercury). The body starts to attempt to dump it's storage of mercury now that it's no longer having to be suppressed by 24/7 amalgams.
THe process can be frightening to someone that does not know what is going on (I didn't at the time). I was so distressed that I thought of taking my own life many times, until I began to get things more under control with a better chelation protocol.
Random detox or erratic chelation methods seeked only to exacerbate my symptoms, because they did not control the movement of mercury, but rather moved it all over the place instead making an awful situation even worse.
Though after an explosion of detox hell, I would get a patch of feeling as though I had just released a load of metals and I'd feel better. But no sooner did this happen, than more mercury would dump out and so the symptoms increased again.
So, this maybe what you are experiencing. I would steer clear of seafood at this point because some people are so toxic and sensitive to even small amounts of mercury that it is hardly worth the risk to eat fish. Using a good fish oil supplement that is certified tested for mercury and other toxins, maybe the better choice.
Cheating on the diet won't help, it is a serious problem for me with the aftermarth of that alone. And treating candida is a help and sometimes a great help, but the cure to this is mercury chelation. I hope your prescribed diet helps you, but I found I required meat as well as the eggs (weston price diet) were a help. Whole grains were usually not that good for me, I had to steer clear of wheat/gluten. Gluten can make a person with mercury extremely ill and should be avoided. Also wheat is apparently treated with mercury fungicide, which might explain why I would get symptoms of mercury poisoning when I used to eat wheat....hard to say if it was that or the gluten.
So you might want to go easy on the whole grains. Are you allowed to eat lamb? Beef? Hal Huggins suggests that eggs, meat (beef etc) and butter are very good for a mercury toxic person. For reasons he does not understand, he has not yet been able to cure a vegetarian from this condition.
I am sorry you feel disheartened, but hang in there because if your body is indeed poisoned by mercury, amalgam removal alone won't usually cure you. The real cure is the body asserting itself and attempting to dump the load and with your help and proper chelation? It should do the job much better.
