2-3 months after my amalgam removal a strange and unexpected thing happened. Suddenly memories from my past started to emerge. Completely forgotten pictures from the past. I would start to remember pieces of dreams that i had 10 years ago. Not only that but I felt like existing memories were sharper and more detailed than before. This process would accelerate and always more memories came back. The more i remember the more i realise how much of my past is 'missing'. It is a bit scary but i feel like something has deleted much of my memory and personality over the years. Before i removed my amalgams I would feel brain dead and depressed. But now 1.5 years post removal i begin to realise how much i have lost in the past 12 years and how much i am still missing.
I find that people on this board rarely mention re-emerging memories, i know it happens to some people but i would love to hear similiar stories from you...

Thanks jinx. It's quite obvious that you are still much more affected than i am but my live is still a little personal hell.
In the past year i had many days, weeks, months when i felt truly insane. It DOES get better if you stop mercury exposure and chelate with ALA for a while.
I feel like i am still far away from a full recovery but there is something happening to my brain recently. It is hard to quantify what exactly it is but the world looks different. It feels like i begin to remember who i really am, what is really important in life, how i felt before i got sick. I am amazed when i think back how i would behave, deal with other people when i was still exposed to mercury.
I didn't even realise how 'drugged' i really was. My mind is still clouded but sometimes for a short moment i can see through and it makes me understand that i've been blinded and why i struggled so much in life. I simply wasn't myself for many years.

Yeah, great news BG. I got some colors coming back, but my memory is going backwards. Re-read some posts today from last week that i typed, I didn’t remember typing them
