Wowwy, guys! While bleak, your advice is very helpful. I've always had the thought of mercury/heavy metal toxicity in the back of my mind, but have read so many conflicting things about it--it's real and is the hidden cause of many diseases vs. it's a scam used to scare people and take their money for bogus treatments--that I put it out of my mind. I did have one good dentist who said not to get silver fillings again, but then the one who put them in in the first place said there was nothing dangerous about them (despite the fact that her work was called questioned by my other dentists and that the things repeatedly fell out in my mouth).
I do fear having chelation done. My grandpa's brother, while dying of Lou Gehrig's disease, had all his fillings removed and had chelation done and became very, very sick. They blamed his disease on mercury in the well water he drank and on his amalgams. He was a very ODD man, always jittery and somewhat "mad hatterish" if you will. It's that side of the family that carries all the autistic traits in my family as well, which makes me wonder if we don't have a sensitivity to mercury and/or an inability to excrete it as well as others.
Like I mentioned before, the most helpful thing I've done so far has been taking the liquid zeolites, which have a chelating/immune-normalizing effect. I have to space out the times I take them by a couple of months, because they make me feel so weird and even sick while I'm on them. They DO alter my sleep patterns, helping me get a good night's rest and stay awake all day--something I haven't done since I was about 11--but that effect fades when I quit taking them. My eyesight always goes a bit haywire, too, like things appearing sharper and in better focus, which also fades upon stopping the zeolites.
Anyway, I just moved to Las Vegas from Oklahoma, so if anyone knows of a good doctor/chiropractor/etc. that can maybe help me, that'd be awesome. Of course, I'll continue searching for these things myself, but help is always good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I don't have insurance, though, which will undoubtedly slow down the process...I can't even afford to go to a regular doctor or dentist right now, so...we'll see. In the meantime, I plan to do everything in my OWN power to get my health back--healing my gut, taking nutritional supplements, detoxing, killing the yeasts, etc. etc. I'm just thankful to god that I don't have amalgams in my mouth currently and that I know enough not to get unnecessary vaccinations again. Like I said, all the serious fatigue, messed up sleeping patterns, OCD-like thoughts, depression, and introversion didn't start until around the time I started getting the flu shot yearly and had several amalgams fall out in a row. Whether that's the sole cause of my problems I don't know, but I'm starting to think it definitely has something to do with it, thanks to the people on this forum.
Thanks for your advice!
