Hi Jinx, believe me, in this illness or those similar, it's very isolating lonely and heavy cross to bear. Being misunderstood, not being believed, treated like a neurotic the entire time you're in hell because of the toxicity.
I try and steer clear of people like that and doctors. Im fully aware that no matter what my condition is, no matter how on the edge I am (or over it), nothing will be done, other than putting me in an institute. So there have been umpteen times to where I've had to stay in my room or even go into my wardrobe (because of the screaming). I was very lucky neither parent took me into a mental hospital, even though I behaved exactly like someone insane.
They believed me and I wish you had that. But it wasn't always that way, too a long time. I think part of why they believed was because of the copious amounts of crying and salivating I would do. Something I could not have put on. To where they would have to constantly change the bowl.
Plus rashes coming up on the skin. But had I not had those things? I wonder if they would have believed me....I hope they would.
It's just not an illness that you can see, or is really recognised or can really be tested with accuracy (unless one follows the exact advice of someone like Andy, who seems to know how to test for it and interpret results properly). And what doctor would do that?
