hey guys some of u may remember facial paralysis that I got 2 months ago, well what happened today topped it all.

It happened in the morning, when I got up. I drank some water and immediately after drinking the water I started getting lightheaded and went straight to my mum in the kitchen saying I am about to faint. As she was leading me to lie down on the sofa I started feeling paralysed in certain body parts. As I laid down paralysis captured all of my body and eventually I looked like a child with cerebral palsy (no kidding). My hands and feet were rigid and bent and I couldn't move them, I couldn't speak because of facial muscle paralysis. It passed after a couple of minutes, but my hands and fingers still felt rigid and kept trembling the whole day. My mother witnessed everything, at leats now she knows, cause she wouldn't believe me when I told her back in august about my facial paralysis.

On top of that I am going more and more crazy, find illogical errors in my speach and writing, and have no memory, and feel mentally like a kid etc etc I just read the facial paralysis post from august and some other messages of mine from that time, and boy, was I in a better mental state.

Its so f* unfair and cruel. But I stopped caring. Or actually the illness made me stop caring.

Crap!

Mike, I don't know what to say either. I am glad your Mum has seen it for herself though, but small comfort to you when you're suffering like this.

Is there ever any remote relief ever? Patches, of improvement? Or is it just non stop dire hell? Does diet help at all or is it a dead loss? And what happens if you go off the diet?

It is just horrible to hear this because I know that mercury can cause symptoms like MS/neurological problems etc. It frightens me that you're just being left when its this serious.

I wish I could help Jinx, just to suggest something that could get you onto the road of healing. Do you feel that past amalgam removal without protection is totally responsible?

I imagine it probably is! Jinx, please remind me when you had that amalgam removal, becuase I want to get an idea of how long you've been getting these extreme symptoms. I do know that it can be hell on earth in the first 2 years, and I keep hoping that you'll start to come through this. But again it's too hard to know what is going on.

Remote relief? I guess you can stretch and call it sometimes. IMPROVEMENT? Nope.

I know diet helps in that respect that it doesn't feed candida. I know the moment I go off the diet, I'd go completely psycho. Haven't tried going off the diet since easter as far as I remember.

as for the past amalgam removal? Well, beforehand I probably had some heavy metal/mercury burden and candida, an that's why I wanted to get rid off amalgams, but I despite sufering from contsant brain fog, I was pretty stable. Evyrthing CRASHED after that amalgam removal. It was like a chain reaction. The other event I can think of that has worsened my brain was that acv enema incident I spoke of, that happened to me like 3 weeks ago. Ironically, it happenned on the 1 year anniversary day of that dreadful amalgam removal - October 19th. (October 19th 2006 being the date of amalgam removal, bex)

I will tell you it's not that frighetening to get those neurological symptoms, it's the sanity part that is.

Jinx:

Don't give up hope yet. My first year after removal was pretty dismal. This next year may be when you start pulling out of it.

I never had experiences like you speak of, but I had a couple days where some weird stuff was happening that scared the hell out of me. Hope it gets better for you this year.

I know what you're saying Jinx. It's a chronic, yet acute condition. I'm really sorry.

A year ago you had the amalgams removed. Well, for me? When I got hit with the symptoms at age 26 - 27 (following amalgam removal), the suffering was beyond belief and unrelenting and about age 29 was when thing began to lift.

So I would say 2-3 years after amalgam removal for some people can be hellish, especially if the removal itself was not very well protected. I can't say if you are dumping mercury, or whether your system was so severely poisoned by the extra exposure, or both.

And again, other things can be in the mix. Like with me now, mercury pretty much not the problem....virus and other infections are and this I cannot "detox" from.

I am really hoping that yours is mercury and that it will come out of you and you will eventually see improvement. The sanity side of it most definitely is the most frightening of the lot.

By the way what does ACV stand for? And yeah, like me, diet only does so much. Just controls the yeast more, but that is all. I recall the times it did much more than that and was a lifesaver for me. I guess it still is, but I don't feel like I used to on it.

Hi Mike
I'm so sorry that happened to you, it's really awful. I have not had problems like that but that would be really scary. I am glad your mom was there with you.
Bex mentioned viruses. I also have some viruses, one of them being polio. My natural doc told me it was in my muscles. I have terrible problems with my legs, especially my right one. It feels like it doesn't want to work some days. I just thought i would mention that about the viruses. Maybe that is one of the problems.
Hang In Threre and Keep Fighting!
My heart goes out to you along with my prayers.

My mum has just come back from the GP, and guess what he says? It's 100% (!) MY NERVES! He says he's these cases on Er and it's 100% of neurotic orgin. CAN U BELIEVE IT? In other words NOTHING HAPPENED! I'M IN PERFECT HEALTH! OH GOODIE, I FEEL LIKE LIVING MY LIFE AGAIN ALREADY! OH, JUST NEED TO POP THAT CURE-FOR-EVERYTHING ANTIDEPPRESSANT PILL THE GOOD DOC SAYS I SHOULD.

Bex, ACV stands for apple cider vinegear, it's anti yeast.

And thanx for your support guys. The only support I have. My family already has the perfect explanation.

Welcome to the club Jinx, this is why I avoid doctors like the plague. NO matter what I have suffered from, because it's outside of their textbooks and testing abilities, they will put it down to stress/nerves, you name it and even suggest a psychiatrist.

This infection I got that just about annihilated me, and I had every sign, fever, chills, sore throat, the lot. My doctor sat on his chair and said "it's stress". This infection never left me, and ever test they did showed nothing. Not even change in blood cells.

The same with mercury, not a thing, even though I was going insane with symptoms trying to detox the stuff. Stinking of metal, tasting metal, every symptom, but nothing showed on any test. Therefore, that meant to them I had nothing wrong.

Because they already think they know enough and if it's not in the textbook and their testing has reached the limit of what it can do, or they cannot interpret it any other way other than what they've been "taught", then they cannot consider it's outside of their abilities, rather it will ALWAYS be put down to psychological.

Going to a doctor has taught me something. It costs money and they have never helped me.....only ONE doctor did once because he did actually believe in candida and got me on a candida diet which did help me. Apart from that? They have only been good at taking money and doing absolutely nothing.

I have realised that they are only good at textbook stuff, the obvious stuff. Anything else is way beyond them and most will never make that admission. The very rare humble doctor might!

So Jinx, this is nothing new and it is unfortunate that your family might believe that, rather than you? If that is the case, then you know on here you have support and friends on here and keep that always in your mind!

There was a doctor friend of my father (ex doctor), who didn't believe in my sicknesses and oneday over the phone when he rang, he said to me "Get yourself a boyfriend and go to theatre", as though that would cure me of my "ills", I almost slammed that phone down.

I was close to saying "wow, all this time and you had the answers to my problems, thanks Dr, I don't know what to say". But I refrained myself.

thac, Bex.

You know what's worst? How insulting this whole 'it's your nerves thing' is and how much guilt it causes. You're sick like a dog and you can't lead your life the way you wanted (and that's my biggest dream of all! f*ck, i've just cried) and yet those docs have the nerve to suggest your problems are psychological so they deal with your personality. They'd rather assume you have this very unstable personality and deep inside your this little insecure kid who must be afraid of everything in the world and this is how this insecuirty is projected. Pyschosomatic.
If it wasn't enough for the 'guilt mode' mercury is putting us in, there's this. I can see already how my sister is going to use it againts me, saying I have to go to therapy and not be a LAZY or PARASITE as she called me once. Gee I thought for once they'd see THERE IS something wrong with u, but nope there's always a way it will even turn things against u and make matters worse.

And let me guess, if I do go down even further, and become a total , detached from reality schizophrenic, locked up in an institution, with no hope for improvement they will all be saying: "Oh, it's because he didn't go to therapy and take psychiatric meds, and he lived his inner life sitting in front of PC all day and reasearching that awful internet about his his IMAGINED illness, this is what happens when u dont go out to people and u dont listen to your doc, oh and it's another PROOF how mental illness unfolds! We knew it was gonna happen.".

Same would happend if I chose to end my life: "Oh, it was 100% depression, had he taken those antidepressants, he'd be with us right now".

In other words, your downfall is your fault

It's just f* unfair.

your mom going to the doctor about what has happened to you, that she witnessed even, and him telling her that nothing is wrong and its just nerves is completely rediculous. Im absolutely astonished that a doctor would be that dismissive.

What all medical screenings and tests have you had done throughout your ordeal? Also what all supplements , medicines, or dietary restrictions do you currently take?

Im new to the board but I keep reading about your terrible situation, and would very much like to help if I could just as everyone else does. Sometimes it happens in life that you get a few more sets of eyes on a problem and you can come up with a solution better.

take care man, be strong.

jinx, you have every right to be furious and feel betrayed. People shouldn't have to suffer like this. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all this.

I'm going to throw out a suggestion -- and it's really just that -- a suggestion. I'm not a doctor, but I offer this nevertheless. Warning: This is a long detailed post -- sorry if it's overwhelming!

The description of what you experienced with your recent body paralysis sounded to me kind of like some sort of seizure. You already know that you're experiencing neurological and mental symptoms.

Have you considered being tested for some sort of infection -- bacterial or viral? It's quite possible that you not only have mercury problems and candida problems but also something else going on ..... perhaps an infection?

Again, I'm not a doctor and I'm not saying you have this, but your symptoms as you've described here "could" be consistent with Lyme Disease or some other tick-borne disease. But, the symptoms for Lyme can also be the same symptoms as other illnesses.

The issue of Lyme Disease has been on my personal radar for about a year. I've been searching for answers too. I know I have heavy metal toxicity and I know that I also have tremendous problems with candida. And, just recently I was finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease and two other co-infections that are seen with Lyme (bartonella and mycoplasmas). I have been searching for over a decade for answers to my declining health and the pieces of the puzzle are finally starting to fall into place.

For what it's worth, there is a theory that some people who have these Lyme infections experience a worsening of some symptoms when they remove amalgams. The theoretical explanation is that mercury actually suppresses some of the activity of the spirochete infection that is Lyme. For further explanation, some are pointing to the early treatment of syphilis as an example. Syphilis was originally treated with mercury and it is also a type of spirochetel infection.

When some people who have a spirochetel infection remove the main source of mercury (i.e., amalgams), the infections are allowed to become more active.

That doesn't mean that we shouldn't remove amalgams! It just means that there might be more diagnostic work and treatment that needs to be pursued in addition to treating for mercury toxicity. And paradoxically, people with chronic bacterial and viral infections usually have some sort of heavy metal toxicity and eventually need to deal with it before fully recovering from some of the infections.

Here is a link on some Lyme info and it's in Polish (I know you're in Poland)::

http://www.amb.edu.pl/wydzialy/lekarski/Klinika%20Chorob%20Zakaznych%20Neuroinfekcji.htm

And I got this link from this place (In English):

If you want further information, let me know, and I'll share what I can.

Blessings
SomedaySoon (Sharon)

P.S. A large percentage of Lyme Disease patients don't ever recall having been bitten by a tic or seeing the hallmark "bull's eye rash."

Hi Jinx, believe me, in this illness or those similar, it's very isolating lonely and heavy cross to bear. Being misunderstood, not being believed, treated like a neurotic the entire time you're in hell because of the toxicity.

I try and steer clear of people like that and doctors. Im fully aware that no matter what my condition is, no matter how on the edge I am (or over it), nothing will be done, other than putting me in an institute. So there have been umpteen times to where I've had to stay in my room or even go into my wardrobe (because of the screaming). I was very lucky neither parent took me into a mental hospital, even though I behaved exactly like someone insane.

They believed me and I wish you had that. But it wasn't always that way, too a long time. I think part of why they believed was because of the copious amounts of crying and salivating I would do. Something I could not have put on. To where they would have to constantly change the bowl.

Plus rashes coming up on the skin. But had I not had those things? I wonder if they would have believed me....I hope they would.

It's just not an illness that you can see, or is really recognised or can really be tested with accuracy (unless one follows the exact advice of someone like Andy, who seems to know how to test for it and interpret results properly). And what doctor would do that?

Sometimes I experience a numbness in my feet, hands &arms &parts of my face.It happens infrequently and so far I cannot see any pattern as to when this happens, but it has happened a good few times and mostly while taking a hot shower.I thought that it could be some kind of anxiety symptom but now I think the anxiety happened after the frightening numbness/stiffness.It's a horrible sensation like my body feels heavy and those parts won't do what they're supposed to all of a sudden.
Fortunately it never lasts for more than 20minutes.It's just one of the many symptoms I forgot to mention to anyone before.
And happens so infrequently I had forgotten it.

Jinx,
That sounds like a frightening experince you had.It is good that your mother got to see that.Maybe she will believe that something is really happening now.Did the doctor say you were ok even without seeing/talking to you?if so they have no grounds to diagnose anything or nothing as the case may be.
I bet if the doctor were to experience what you experienced,
s/he would be very concerned.
It is so lonely &frustrating when you are not taken seriously by family friends & doctors.
I hope it dosn't happen again.

I hope you're feeling better soon.

I have that numbness sometimes too, mostly in my feet and hands. It's almost like a buzzing, doesn't last long but can really scare you. It happens mostly when I go to the grocery store, don't know if it happens because of the cold store or all those flourescent lights above me. I wonder too if all the perfumes from everyone could have something to do with it. Just a thought.
Hey Mike
How are ya today. I hope it's a better day for ya. I just wanted to say hang in there and keep fighting. I am still praying and wishing you well every day. God bless you!!!

Mike that has happened to me many times, sometimes for the whole day, I still get it through some parts of the day or night. Ive said to Keith it almost feels like RIgour Mortis is setting in before you actually die. Its hell, I dont know the cause, but its certainly not nerves. I also feel very faint at the time and sometimes feel like I can hardly breathe, I understand the feeling perfectly, its horrific. Tracy x
