Hi Mati, what an awful experience!!! But that sounds very similar to myself.

I think that's a good plan re the getting the tooth removed and waiting from that and then later getting the small remaining amalgam out. Any dental work, no matter what it is, if it requires anaesthetic etc, it's a wise move to leave enough time inbetween to recover. To rush in too fast, get another local on top of that, plus other work, I think could make things much worse.

I've learned that I have to take it slow, or worse things happen. I also write things down that I want to ask the dentist or want him to know about, e.g. the non vaso constrictor anasethetic, the ligament being removed, or other things. I have taken over my serum test list, which is quite extensive and shows which dental materials I was compatible with and made sure the dentist told me exactly what he had and I would check them on the form.

Basically you are paying them! You have every right to request certain things and they should oblige (unless it's unethical or dangerous).

So I really hope that things go well for you when you get this done. At least it will be one big amalgam gone and only one little one to go <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
