I wanted to write a bit about the symptoms that I still have. It's going on month 6 now after removal of amalgams which were drilled out hence I was exposed to vapors (sorry to repeat myself, just a refresher for some of you or for those of you who are new to this forum).
I am currently experiencing my good/bad days and am on a roller coaster detox ride. On the days that I know I am detoxing here is a usual day in the life of Nina: I have difficulty falling asleep, at night have some palpitations, feel heavy in the chest, sweat, wake up earlier than usual to have several bowel movements in a short period of time 1-2 hrs upon waking ( I assume this is good and Algin is probably playing its role) Also I have what I call a "metal head" feeling. For those of you experiencing mercury poisoning you probably have some idea what I mean by that. I then start feeling depressed and/or anxious and weak and may get a panic attack. I also get a sharp stabbing pain in my back which then goes to the chest. I also have extra mucous in my mouth. My body starts feeling sore and tender (stomach, kidneys) and I get very sensitive to sounds and light. I see black spots and/or shapes in front of my eyes. I feel that my body is no longer mine and that mercury has full control of my body and brain.. I know we all talk about our symptoms but perhaps I just wanted to write it all down for my sake and for sake of others who may be experiencing similar things and are at a loss of words when their family and loved ones ask them what's wrong. When I start experiencing all of this I only have the strenght to say, I don't feel good..so I just wanted to share this with all of you and try to get a sense of relief that I am not alone in this and that it will not last forever, because sometimes it really feels like this is a neverending agony.
Regardless, I am looking forward to the good days, and I am hoping that in 6 more months I may be almost symptom free. In the mean time I keep my Algin handy and try to keep going the best that I can. If any of you are experiencing similar symptoms I would love to hear from you. Sorry for being negative, but you can guess I am having one of the 'bad days' and this forum is the only place in the universe where I can talk about it freely.

Sorry for what you are going through. I think it's good to talk about it. This forum is about the only place I can talk about it too.
What you mentioned reminds me of somethings I've had over the years. Sometimes when I've woken up in the morning, there have been lines and dots in front of my eyes. I thought it was due to looking at the computer too much, but now wonder if it could be mercury. I often wake up with pins and needles in my arm or my leg, which I had since about the times I had the fillings. Some times my legs feel very senstive to the sheets, other times I am cold or hot. When I lie down at night I have noises in my ears, once it was so bad a ringing I was up for 2 hours. Most times it's like a "woosh". A few times I've had night sweats and been soaking. Anxiety will sometimes keep me awake and I always have trouble going to sleep.
I am also sensitive to light. At the moment I have a blind and curtains on my window and even candle flickers bother me. I cover up flahes on my vcr and other lights (although a friend does this also and doesn't have fillings). I also don't like loud noise.
I still don't know if it is mercury causing these things, I guess time will tell.
Please write about how you are getting on and what is helping etc <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Look into adrenal fatigue. When you are feeling panicky have you eaten? Next time it happens pop a piece of candy in your mouth and see if the symptoms go right away.

Nina, Just read your symptoms list. I'm so sorry for what you are going through. It's especially terrifying when you think you're alone and no one else could understand. But that's where this forum is a life-saver! You're not alone--we're all here! I have had some of the same symptoms as you have described. The panic, unexplained anxiety, palpitaions and so on. I also have inside tremors which used to scare the life out of me until I found out what was causing them. I am also very light sensitive and my ears are plugged and at night or when it's very quiet, there is a loud ringing or buzzing in them. I have had the ear thing for 10 years now. Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you to hang in there and keep faith for the "good days" that are going to come for all of us. Be kind to yourself. Chelan
