I can understand all the different fears because I had and have them all. They do not make it easy for people who are mercury toxic to make the greatest choices for alternatives either. Leaving us not knowing which way to go.
But certainly I do know two people from here who had cerec porcelain put in (one was particularly chemically sensitive and very sick) and both are working and not on here anymore and seem to be recovering slowly. I have just had one side of my mouth (composites) redone in cerec and noticed no reaction, no worsening put it that way. Normally when I get a new material in, something tends to happen.
I worry too about the bonding and lining because they are glue, but there is really no escaping that unless you go with gold. So I took my chances I guess you could say.
Getting the other side done at some point also. But again, I can only repeat what I've said in the past, because people on here are saying "I dont want to end up like Bex". Please understand that my current chronic condition is NOT amalgam related, or amalgam replacement related, but everything to do with a volatile bacteria/virus that I caught in 2003.
This would have harmed anybody, with or without amalgams. I may well have been in a more vulnerable position to catch it from detoxing mercury, but I dont know about that. I was healing from amalgam toxicity already and the changes were becoming more evident as time wore on.
Though the first year or two were quite hellish, I was recovering very well.
So again, my condition now is viral related. I could also have cavitations (jawbone infections) that maybe adding to this, because I had wisdom teeth removed in 2004, and got even worse after that.
So those two things seem to be what has impacted me the greatest. Do not be put off amalgam removal because of how I am, concentrate on other people who do not have these extra complications and seem to be slowly improving.
The ones who dont improve seem to stand out like sore thumbs, the ones that do gradually fade off the forum, but people dont tend to notice that because new ones join and also it takes a few years to heal.
