It has already been banned in some areas/countries (e.g. Sweden) and by law in some areas, they now have to post a warning notice on the mercury contained in amalgams (e.g. birth defects). So not sure what you're dentist is talking about, but many times they are ignorant themselves and wish to remain so, OR they are aware and hope to heck you're not.

I've heard of people with no amalgams at all becoming highly mercury toxic by eating fish food like tuna. So your dentist is way off the mark. Not everybody is going to become poisoned with mercury, even those who work with it because some people have a higher tolerance, have a better system for elimination etc.

Other people who get poisoned by it, are ones that tend to hang onto the metals/toxins (like myself) and do not excrete it, but rather build it up in the tissues over years and become so ill by it, that some even commit suicide (I could have been one of them).

I know people with false teeth and those with amalgams and those with false teeth seem the far healthier and stronger and I wonder is this coincidence?

I would never feel depressed about removing another source of mercury poison from your body, because the body can only handle so much and it comes down to overall toxic exposure, immune status etc. You are doing yourself a favor by removing this neurotoxin from your teeth.

Amalgams are often a much worse exposure because it is 24/7, rather than intermittant exposures. On top of this, the oral environment itself encourages more mercury to come off amalgams, couple that with hot fluids increasing uptake into lungs/brain, chewing foods, etc. The worst place for mercury is the mouth, yet it's the very place it remains, giving continual exposure.

Some people's body's are so intolerant to mercury, they only need to be exposed to a small amount before becoming ill by it. Amalgams are no small amount by the way. An entire lake can become totally contaminated by a tiny about of mercury, that means all the fish with it.

Dentists that are still using amalgam are usually very defensive about it and seem to have the code of silence going on amongst themselves about it. The dentists who stopped using it, were aware enough, brave enough to rid their dental offices of it and start using alternatives.

There are enough biologic dentsits now fully aware of the dangers of mercury, that one must wonder why any dentist at all would keep using it in light of growing evidence....and the fact it has already been banned in some areas.

You only need to check out the letters to the ADA online to see the anger out there at what this stuff has done to people, ruined lives, hellish detoxing to try and get well, improvements from removals etc.

If you listen to the general mainstream dentist? You will be told anything he wishes you to believe, because an admission is really not thinkable to him/her. For the ADA to admit the damage it has caused would mean suing like you would not believe. Making the tobacco company suing look like peanuts. They cannot afford to admit to it and instead will stay safe and say that there are some people who are hyper sensitive to amalgams, but will not admit the toxicity.

IT is a really hard decision to make, so I understand your confusion and feelings of cynism, mixed with fear about the entire thing. It's a little like feeling damned if you do and damned if you dont. The thing is, keeping my amalgams in forced my body into a state of constant storage. It had to keep finding areas to store the mercury, so much so that I was bloated from the toxins, even though I ate hardly a thing.

I've mentioned how I had permanently dilated pupiles? And very strange symptoms. Yes I did manage to gain improvement on the candida diet, even with amalgams still in, but the basic ongoing exposure was still taking its toll and I believe more dangerous because it's over time, just building up as the years go on.

I did not have a very safe removal process and probably could have done much better, but I didn't know any better. So yes I was exposed during removal. But I didn't get much worse. THe last removal was the problem because I swallowed mercury, PLUS, having no more amalgams tends to switch the body into dumping its storage. This process can be very very difficult, particularly if the person has no standard safe detox protocol to follow, but has no idea what is happening and simply takes anything and everything.

If I had it all over agian, I would do it differently for sure. IT can take a few years to get better yes, but for me it was worth it. The virus I got, I dont believe was a result of getting amalgams out, but was from an infected mascara, which allowed a potent bacteria to get into my system via the eyes.

Whether my still stored mercury had anything to do with me being more suseptible to that or not, I dont know. Probably did. But if I had not had those amalgams? I would never have had to go through such hell trying to detox the mercury that they caused in the first place.

It is a hard decision and one I would do very slowly, but surely if I did it again. I also have a genetic tendency towards holding toxins in and not excreting them, plus when I do detox, I go through hell (wtih any toxin, not just mercury), so my story maybe extreme because of the way I'm made, rather than the amalgams themselves.

I dont know what to tell you because it is so hard to give one easy answer. THere isn't one. you hear of spontaneous cures after amalgam removal, slow improvements over time through detox, or immediate worsening from exposure and a roller coaster ride to gradual improvement and maybe some do not benefit at all, perhaps there are some who get worse and stay worse....It is not a sure thing.
