I heard this is one of the best ways to detox after all fillings are removed. I was wondering if anyone had a good or bad experience doing this?

Andrew Cutler, one of the best in mercury detox, talks of saunas being very effective also. I haven't done it myself, but used to sit in a hot bath with epsom salts etc and try doing it that way and it still got some mercury out of me via the pores.

However, this is if the mercury is available and able to come out of the skin. Otherwise, if one is not really sweating it out via skin, oral chelation maybe the only other avenue.

exercise is another way, but that can be risky because it can mobilise too many toxins/metals at once into the system and make a person very sick. Best done in moderation (for me anyway, but then I have a constant virus in my system, so that's why I can't do much exercise).

When I didn't have the virus, I found exercise helped me eliminate metals and I would do rebounding and walking on a treadmill. I would often stink of metal afterwards.

I can only do light exercises myself, too much and I'm down.
I noticed in the summer I do really well, I think it's because I sweat soo much. We have high humidity in OH. that is why I think a sauna would be good for me.
Sorry to hear about your virus! I wish you well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nurseblinky.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, sauna’s are an excellent detox tool. Not just for mercury detox, but it really “opens up” your skin and helps your whole body rid itself of toxins. Your skin is one of the biggest parts of your body for removing toxins and it’s important that it is open and free and not clogged up. (dry skin brushing is also very good at stimulating and opening your pores.) That’s what sweating does, and by having a sauna you are speeding up the process.

Some mercury people can’t handle the heat and it is too much, too fast, they need to avoid sauna’s.

Infra-red sauna’s are a complete no-no. They are harmful to everyone, no matter how healthy or unhealthy you are.

For me, sweating is most important and I always feel better when I sweat a lot, which is why I am a regular Epsom salt bath man. They really help me, big time. I sauna whenever I get the chance, which is not that often. Hot holidays where it is hot all the time, day and night, make me feel great too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

And I discovered another great hot bath. This time with salt. About 1KG (2 pounds) of salt…..really hot water…sweat like crazy……feel GGGRREAT after!

It has been recommended to do it with Himalayan rock salt, but at Ł10 a bag ($20) that’s one hell of a bath…..

So I just used sea salt…….wonderful, I have had 3 so far.

In fact, I have a spare bag of the Himalayan stuff, so I might give that a bash.

“Himalayan Crystal Salt originates from the primal seas of millions of years ago, where life began. Dried by the sun at a time where pollution did not exist, Himalayan Crystal Salt is totally pure and contains every mineral and trace element found in the human body.

Soaking in a Sole bath (salt bath) re-mineralises the body whilst enabling it to retain moisture instead of drying the skin out like a normal bath. It has a similar detoxifying effect as to a three-day fast, can reduce fever and promotes healing of soft tissue injuries and joint problems.”

Yes, maybe I will try this……… <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/babybath.gif" alt="" />

Sunshine,
I find great comfort in taking bath's!! When I feel bad that is the first thing that I do. I have a bath additive called cell wellness restorer, AIM makes it. It has desalinated seawater and mineral powder in it. I soak 20 min. and it always helps!!
I would like to try the himalayan rock salt, I'll look into that!!
Thank's,

This link might get you in. I think u might need to be a member. I don’t know. I am a member.

Re: Saunas redux...

There are never any circumstances where infrared sauna should be used.

They have a high adverse reaction rate, the marketing claims are not
accurate, some brands are full of materials that will zap chemically
sensitive people (despite claims to the contrary), and the IR does not
behave as stated - in fact most of them don't emit the spectrum they
claim to in their advertizing literature.

Regular (wet or dry) sauna is fine.

Naturopathy is just as much a scam as mainstream allopathy, and the
students who study it do not receive any more technical training than
do MD students.

The MD world is wrapped around the pillar of gullibly believing
anything a drug rep tells the doctor.

The ND world is wrapped around the pillar of gullibly believing
anything a supplement company or other alternative health care
manufacturer tells the doctor.

Neither system works very well.

> > but then again, you`re probably right..lol.

Thank you.

In this particular case I do have the advantage of real knowledge and
experience with radiative and convective heat transfer, the spectral
transmissivity and emissivity of materials, the emission spectrum of
radiators, etc.

They are unsafe, they are not as effective as regular sauna.

Well, I have offered it.

It is that the infrared saunas, which transfer heat by radiation
(infrared radiation) deposit heat in a very nonuniform manner on the
body and the human body does not handle this well. Regular sauans
transfer the heat evenly by convection and the body handles this much
better.

Re: Sauna clarification (To Andy)

Increased chemical sensitivity, worsened fatigue, vastly worsened
psychiatric status (including involuntary hospitalization), greatly
worsened autonomic dysfunction such as poor heart rate regulation,
increaesd anxiety and distress, increased hyperactivity, increased
neurological impairment of arm and leg strength and mobility, probably
more if I dredge through memory and records more.

The first 3 are by far the most common in adults.

Andy . . . . . . . . . .

…………………there are more in there too.

Treva, it's interesting that you said that you feel better in the summer from sweating. I also feel much better than too. I bought a used "heavently heat" sauna which is made for the chemically sensitive. It's not yet put together as I have to clean my basement. My wholistic dentist said that saunas are very good for removing mercury, but not everyone can tolerate them. He did recommend only a FAR infrared sauna, as the temperatures are not as high. My sauna has both rocks that heat, as well as a far infrared electric heater. The guy I bought it from said it helped him dramatically with his chemical sensitivity. I think a big thing with being safe with the sauna is to have the proper minerals and nutrients in your system as you use it, as it takes a lot out of you. If you buy Sherry Rogers book, "Detoxify or Die" she discusses a whole protocol she developed for detoxing mercury, which includes supplements to take before taking the sauna, and then after. When I tried saunas in the past, I felt good when I was in them but had some problem afterwards, probably because my minerals were depleted (I have so much trouble tolerating supplements). I bought the sauna with the hopes of using it when I go through amalgam removal.

My dentist told me that 6 months of a sauna has been shown to decrease mercury levels dramatically. But also to start really slow, and then build up the amount of time, and the number of days in the sauna as one can tolerate.

Sunshine, where did you hear that infrared saunas were no good? I'm curious to find out more about that as the FAR infrared has been the one so commonly recommended for mercury. I know regular saunas like the ones in a health club are no good because the heat is so high + one has to be careful that chemicals like the glues, varnishes, etc. are no good if you are chemically sensitive either.

Hope this helps.

Andrea

Thanks sunshine. I did not see your post before I wrote mine. My sauna has no added chemicals (which will cause problems for chemically sensitive), but I don't know about the far infrared technology now. I know there are also cases where conventional saunas have made people very ill. I may try mine very slowly when I eventually set it up to see how I handle it.

Thanks again-

Hi Ange. Think our posts crossed. You are new here, so you may not know who this bloke Andy Cutler is that many talk about and make reference to? He is someone that knows a lot about mercury illness because he had it. He wrote a book with a curing protocol and all the troubles people have and get when trying to heal from this terrible mess we all seem to be in.

He makes good sense to me, reading the book was like reading my list of symptoms & troubles back to me, but you will only really understand if u read his book yourself. Essential reading for mercury toxic people.

Right, anyway …………………… I’m gonna test out this very expensive Himalayan rock salt bath now. I can compare it with Epsom salt baths, apple cider vinegar baths, sea salt baths, pickling lime baths and sodium bicarbonate baths……………. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/babybath.gif" alt="" />

Sunshine-

That's too cool! Thanks for the info. Yes, I do know of Andy Cutler and I own his book. I respect his protocol and will probably try to use it at some point (if I ever finally get my amalgams out!).

I've been on and off of this forum for a while - close to a year now (unregistered). I've tried NCD like Treva, but symptoms became so bad I had to stop. I may try that again too as I still have it. I can't tolerate any supplements at all and am extremely chemically sensitive.

Anyway, thanks for the advice regarding the sauna.

I could not get the link to work. I am extremely concerned about this as i have used my far-infra-red sauna quite a bit. If I have a break and go back to it i feel really bad the first time and I do not sweat much anyway. I feel much better when I am in a dry sunny place as then I do sweat but here in the UK....no. Dr Sarah Myhill advises them most strongly.

Was the person who supplied the rock sauna in London by the way?

Mati: You can join the yahoo group. The files are huge

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/

Just register and these files will then be open to you. Will prob take 12-24 hours before you are accepted, but it is a formality to join these things.

That group is full of incredibly helpful people. Their knowledge of mercury is unbelievably high. I read every post on that forum and I learn 10 news things a day from them. Great people who dedicate so much time to helping others and its free. No charge.

How much would you pay to feel like this?

My skin feels soft & sleek, not too dry but oily fresh and new,
My head is clearer, I am more lively and I feel like some action tonight with my lady,

After, I just had to relax and sink into my deep dark leather sofa. I put on a CD and cranked it up loud. Then louder, and then louder some more. I have these great big speakers, cost Ł3k ($6k), they make my music sound crystal clear, and boy they sound funkin’ impressive, but when they are cranked up loud you can feel the bass thumping right inside. I love that that feeling with da music overwhelming every sense. Gotta be really loud. Really feel da bass throbbing inside.

I am hot all over and warm to the core. I got happiness bubbling up from nowhere.

My wife came back home all hungry and cold, so I cooked her roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roasted carrots, sweet potatoe and roast butternut squash too.

At bedtime I read “the cat in the hat” by Dr Seuss to my little girl. We love that story, its got rhythm and rhyme. We read “the cat in hat comes back” too.

And here I am now telling you what a funkin’ excellent day I have had after that himalayan rock salt bath. Wow and double wow! That blew my socks off. Ł10….wow, I’d pay a lot more than Ł10 to feel like I did this afternoon again.

seriously…. I feel funkin’ excellent. That is some serious strong $hit! I wonder how often I can do them? I will have to find out. Wow and double wow.

i do lots of baths, but I have never had that reaction from a bath. You have to build up gradually with these baths, each time taking more and more time up, building up slowly to 30 mins. When I first started these baths I could only manage 5 mins before it was too much and I had to get out. But…..i never felt like I felt this afternoon.

And to think I yesterday I felt like a zombie.

I wonder if I will crash? I think I over did it, maybe stayed to long in the bath? If I crash I will let you know, but right now I don’t care ‘cause I feel wonderful.

How did I find out about this bath? One of my mates over on curezone pointed me towards this posting. It is an excellent post you should read it all, but if u can’t be arsed to read all the flowery stuff, shoot to the bottom and checkout the salt bath instructions. 97 deg? Yeah right….i donno what that means either but to me that means just as hot as I can take it. Really really hot. And I always always always end with a freezing cold shower. Only 1 minute….but…it is vital to bring me back to the here and now.

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=378721#i

Sauna…..sauna…..i don’t need no sauna….these baths make me sweat like a trouper.

Where did I get my salt:
http://www.detoxyourworld.com/cgi-b...;amp;PN=himalayan%2ehtml%23aF0105#aF0105

and here

http://credencegroup.co.uk/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=52

but I assume u can get it from somewhere slightly closer to home.

My rock sauna came from a guy in NY to answer your question. I want to look into these Himalayan Rock salts as well. One question for all of you taking these baths, do you have a water filter for your bathtub. I have a shower one that removes chlorine but not one for the bath. I'm thinking I should buy one for the bath faucet too.

Sunshine, I'm glad to hear you had such a great day. I'm going to check out your links. Keep us posted.

I don’t have a water filter. Its on the to-do list.

Yes, worth giving the sole-bath a try. That was a very strong healing experience yesterday, which probably means I was too long in the bath, so take it easy. If u never done one of these before, maybe use half the salt and get out when you feel…..when you feel should get out….you will know when you should.

And…………….make sure u have the freezing cold shower afterwards. It is important. Just for 1 minute. It is just the outside skin that gets cold and you very quickly warm up and start sweating again.

Take it easy.

Why are infrared saunas harmful? I have used one myself a few times.
